Q: What typically fits inside the Saint Laurent Small Kate Tassel bag?
A: As a compact evening shoulder bag (see Measurements for this exact piece), it generally holds a standard-size smartphone, a slim cardholder, keys and a lipstick. The interior comprises one main compartment with a flat pocket; larger phones (Plus/Max) may be a tight fit depending on the case and how you pack.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody as well as on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This item’s chain strap can be worn long or doubled; the strap drop is listed as 56 cm when worn long and approximately 30 cm when doubled. Choose crossbody or a short shoulder carry to suit your height and preference.

Q: Is the tassel removable?
A: No. The chain tassel is a fixed design detail attached beneath the Cassandre logo. Avoid pulling or snagging the tassel to preserve its shape and finish.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: It features a magnetic flap closure that keeps contents secure while allowing quick access. To maintain the magnet’s strength and the bag’s structure, avoid overfilling. If you carry magnetic‑stripe cards, consider a separate cardholder.

Q: How should I care for the leather and hardware?
A: Wipe the leather gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from moisture, oils and prolonged direct sunlight. Store the bag in a breathable dust bag, lightly stuffed to maintain its shape. To protect the hardware and tassel, avoid contact with perfumes or abrasive surfaces and give them a gentle wipe after wear. Professional restoration services can address scratches or colour retouching when needed.

Q: Will the tassel or hardware tarnish over time?
A: Normal wear can lead to surface scratches or dullness on gold‑toned chains and tassels. Minimising contact with lotions and humidity helps; any patina developed is typical of vintage pieces. This particular item shows scratches and dullness on the hardware as noted in the product information.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section. This piece is listed without extras such as a dust bag or cards; if something is not mentioned there, it is not included.

Q: Where was this bag made and how do you ensure authenticity?
A: The label indicates France. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated through multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, and brand markings before being listed.

Q: What are the measurements for this specific piece?
A: The measurements for this item are approximately H 12.5 cm × W 16 cm × D 5 cm, with a strap drop of 56 cm when worn long or about 30 cm when doubled. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for confirmation.
