Q: Is this Tiffany & Co. Dove 18kt Gold Necklace authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What materials is the necklace made from? Is it solid gold?
A: This necklace is crafted from solid 18kt yellow gold (Au 750). It is a fine jewellery piece and is not gold‑plated. The high‑quality gold gives it a warm, lasting lustre typical of Tiffany & Co. creations.

Q: How big is the dove pendant?
A: This is a very petite and delicate charm, measuring approximately 1 cm in height and 0.5 cm in width. It is designed to be a subtle, elegant accent rather than a large statement pendant. Please verify these measurements against a ruler to ensure the size meets your expectations.

Q: What is the chain length and where will it sit?
A: The fine chain has a perimeter of approximately 40 cm. This is a shorter length that typically sits high on the collarbone, similar to a choker or princess length, depending on your neck size.

Q: How does the necklace fasten?
A: It secures with a traditional spring ring closure, a classic and reliable fastening often used on vintage Tiffany & Co. fine chains.

Q: What hallmarks should I look for?
A: Authentic Tiffany & Co. gold pieces are typically stamped with “Tiffany & Co.” and “750” (indicating 18kt gold). Depending on the specific collection or era, other marks may be present near the clasp or on a tag. Please refer to the close‑up photos to see the exact stamps on this piece.

Q: How should I care for 18kt gold jewellery?
A: To maintain its shine, gently wipe the necklace with a soft jewellery polishing cloth after wear. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, chlorine, or heavy perfumes. Store it separately in a soft pouch or lined box to prevent the fine chain from tangling or scratching.

Q: What condition is the item in?
A: This necklace is in Very Good Condition. As a vintage piece, it has been well‑cared for but may show faint signs of wear, such as hairline scratches, consistent with its age and history.

Q: Does it come with the original box or packaging?
A: No, this listing does not include the original accessories (such as the box or dust bag). The item will be securely and beautifully packaged by A Retro Tale for delivery.

Q: Can I return it if it doesn’t suit me?
A: Yes—returns are accepted in line with our policy. Please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes, and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition it was received.
