Q: How long is the necklace and where will it sit when worn?
A: The chain measures about 44 cm (approximately 17.3 inches), commonly called a princess length. It typically sits around the collarbone on most wearers, making it easy to wear alone or to layer with shorter chokers or longer chains.

Q: What materials are typical for vintage Céline jewellery like this?
A: Céline fashion jewellery from this era is commonly crafted in gold‑tone plated brass with simulated pearls. While the exact alloy of this individual piece isn’t specified, its finish, pendant engraving, and clasp style align with Céline’s costume jewellery production.

Q: Is the central pearl real or imitation?
A: On Céline fashion jewellery, the pearls are usually imitation (glass or resin) rather than cultured or natural. Unless a piece is explicitly described as fine jewellery in solid precious metal with genuine gemstones, you should assume an imitation pearl for durability and consistent look.

Q: Can I wear it every day or in the shower?
A: Daily wear is fine with care, but avoid water, steam rooms, swimming, perfumes, lotions and hairspray on or near the necklace. Pearls are sensitive to chemicals and moisture, and gold‑tone plating can fade faster with exposure. Put the necklace on last and take it off first, then wipe gently with a soft lint‑free cloth after wearing.

Q: How should I clean and store this necklace?
A: Wipe with a dry, soft cloth after each use. For a deeper clean, use a barely damp cloth with lukewarm water only, then dry immediately. Never use ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive cloths or chemical jewellery dips on pearls or plated finishes. Store separately in a soft pouch, away from heat and direct sunlight.

Q: Is it nickel‑free and suitable for sensitive skin?
A: Many vintage plated brass pieces may contain small amounts of nickel in the alloy or plating. Modern EU rules limit nickel release, but vintage items may predate these standards. If you have sensitive skin, consider applying a clear jewellery shield on contact points or wearing the piece over clothing and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Q: What clasp does it have and is it secure?
A: It features a spring ring clasp, a classic and secure closure when properly fastened. As with any clasp, check it has fully closed before wearing, and avoid pulling the chain while putting on or taking off the necklace.

Q: How do you authenticate this Céline necklace?
A: Our specialists inspect construction, weight, plating quality, engraving, and era‑correct details. The pendant engraving reads “Céline Paris”; the accented logo was used on pre‑2018 pieces and is a helpful dating clue alongside material and craftsmanship checks. We stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell and are happy to share additional photos or details on request.

Q: Can the length be adjusted or the pearl replaced if damaged?
A: Minor length adjustments are usually possible with a small extender chain fitted by a professional jeweller. If an imitation pearl becomes damaged, a skilled jeweller can often source and set a visually similar replacement; note that alterations may affect collectability or resale value.

Q: What comes with the necklace?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. For this piece, there are no additional items included beyond the necklace itself.
