A: The slogan appeared on Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2015 runway directed by Karl Lagerfeld. In French it reads “Féministe mais féminine,” which translates to “Feminist but feminine,” celebrating empowerment and elegance together.

Q: What typically fits inside this clutch?
A: With approximate measurements of 36 × 25 × 1.5 cm, it is ideal for flat essentials: A4 documents or a slim notebook, a tablet (including 12.9-inch iPad Pro), a slim 13-inch laptop such as a MacBook Air, a phone, cardholder and keys. Given the slim depth, bulkier items (thick wallets, water bottles) are not recommended.

Q: Can it fit a 13-inch laptop?
A: Yes, most slim 13-inch laptops (for example, MacBook Air at roughly 30.41 × 21.24 cm) will fit within the stated dimensions. The clutch is not padded, so we recommend a thin sleeve and avoiding overfilling to maintain the leather’s shape.

Q: Is there a shoulder strap or any D-rings to attach one?
A: No. This piece is designed as a handheld clutch and does not include a strap or strap attachments.

Q: Is the slogan printed or embossed? Will it wear off?
A: On this version the slogan is embossed into the leather, so it will not peel like a surface print could. Normal friction over time may soften the edges of the embossing; avoid abrasive surfaces and store carefully to preserve definition.

Q: What leather is this, and how should I care for it?
A: The bag is crafted in aged leather, which is generally more forgiving of light marks than very smooth leathers. Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth, keep away from prolonged moisture or dark–light colour transfer, and do not overfill. Store in a breathable dust bag with light stuffing to help retain shape.
