Q: What are the dimensions and what typically fits inside this Medium Classic Double Flap?
A: This piece measures approximately 25.5 × 14 × 7 cm. It comfortably holds daily essentials such as a large smartphone, a compact or small wallet, keys, and a few small cosmetics. Slim sunglasses can fit without a bulky case. Because this is a double flap, internal space is slightly reduced compared with single‑flap styles—packing flatter, slimmer items maximises capacity.

Q: Can the Medium be worn crossbody or is it mainly a shoulder bag?
A: The leather‑interlaced chain can be worn doubled on the shoulder or lengthened to a single strap. On this bag the drop is approximately 19 cm when doubled and 34 cm when worn single, as listed here. Many people find the Medium sits high when worn crossbody; it works crossbody on some frames, but it is most often worn as a shoulder bag.

Q: What does “Coco Pleats” mean on this Chanel?
A: Coco Pleats refers to a seasonal finish featuring pleated, chevron‑patterned leather on the classic double‑flap silhouette. It adds dimensional texture while keeping all the familiar Classic features: the CC turn‑lock, leather‑lined interior with compartments, sliding chain strap, and back slip pocket.

Q: How is the interior of a Classic Double Flap arranged?
A: Under the outer flap you’ll find a small zipped compartment often nicknamed the “love letter” pocket, plus a slip pocket. Inside the main compartment are additional slip pockets and a lipstick slot. There is also an external back slip pocket for slim items. The second (inner) flap helps the bag hold its shape and provides extra security, though it does slightly reduce capacity.

Q: Will a large smartphone (Plus/Max) fit?
A: Yes—most large smartphones fit horizontally without issue, especially in a slim case. If your case is very bulky, you may prefer to place the phone diagonally or remove the case to keep the flap closing comfortably.

Q: What is the production period indicated by the serial number 25525625?
A: Chanel’s 8‑digit serial numbers indicate a production series. A code beginning with 25XXXXXX is widely accepted to date to around 2018 (late 2017 to 2018 range on most charts). Please note the serial code gives an approximate period, not an exact month. This item includes a serial number tag; an authenticity card is not listed and therefore not included.

Q: How should I care for the pleated chevron leather?
A: Handle with clean, dry hands and avoid contact with oils, cosmetics, and liquids. Keep the bag away from prolonged sunlight, heat, and humidity. If the surface gets lightly marked, gently buff with a soft, non‑pilling cloth; avoid harsh cleaners and conditioners. Store upright in a breathable dust bag, loosely stuffed, with the chain wrapped to prevent imprints.

Q: Is the bag authentic and how do you verify it?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, stamps, hardware, logo placement, and the serial number. We stand behind the authenticity of all pieces we sell and can share additional photos or details on request.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This listing includes the serial number tag. Everything included is always shown under Accessories on this page; if an item such as a dust bag or authenticity card isn’t listed, it is not included—contact us if you’d like clarification.
