Q: What are the measurements and what does it fit?
A: The bag measures approximately 25 × 16 × 5 cm with a strap drop of about 29 cm. It comfortably holds a smartphone, small wallet or cardholder, keys, a compact and lipstick. A slim mini tablet or e‑reader may fit without a bulky case. Actual capacity depends on how you pack.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: This model is designed primarily as a shoulder bag. With a 29 cm drop, it will sit high if worn crossbody and may not be comfortable crossbody for most heights. The strap is not adjustable. Some owners use temporary extenders, but we do not recommend modifications as they can mark the hardware; please use at your discretion.

Q: How does a single flap differ from a double flap?
A: Single-flap bags have one exterior flap covering the main compartment. They tend to be lighter and offer slightly more internal space. Double flaps add an extra internal flap that helps the bag keep its structure over time. Chanel discontinued single flaps in the Classic line in 2014, but many seasonal styles (like this one) are single flap.

Q: Is the jewelled CC turn‑lock original to this style?
A: Yes. The Precious Jewel variant features a CC turn‑lock embellished with cabochon‑style stones. It was released as a seasonal style in the early 2010s and is no longer part of the current production, making examples available mainly on the pre‑owned market.

Q: What leather is it and how should I care for it?
A: It is black quilted lambskin. Keep it away from prolonged light, heat and humidity. If it gets damp, blot gently with a soft, non‑pilling cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners or conditioning products that may alter the finish. To reduce the look of light surface marks on lambskin, gently buff in small circles with a soft cloth. Store upright in a breathable pouch, loosely stuffed, and wrap the chain to prevent impressions on the leather.

Q: Is the hardware real gold?
A: Chanel used 24‑karat gold‑plated hardware on many bags prior to late 2008. This early‑2010s piece has gold‑tone hardware rather than 24‑karat plating.

Q: What does the serial number 14XXXXXX indicate?
A: The serial label helps date the bag to a production period. 14‑series numbers correspond to the early 2010s (around 2011). The serial does not reveal the exact model or month, but it is one of several authenticity markers we check.

Q: What is included with this item?
