Q: What size is this necklace?
A: The chain perimeter is 44 cm, and the dolphin pendant measures approximately 1.8 x 1.8 cm with a depth of 0.5 cm. On many wearers, this length sits close to or just below the collarbone, though the exact fit will vary slightly from person to person.

Q: Is the chain adjustable?
A: Yes. This necklace features an adjustable chain with a lobster clasp closure, allowing you to wear it a little shorter or closer to its full 44 cm length.

Q: What are the main features of this piece?
A: This vintage Christian Dior necklace features gold-tone hardware, a dolphin pendant with rhinestone details, and an adjustable chain. The country of origin label states Germany.

Q: Is this an authentic vintage Christian Dior necklace?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully authenticated by in-house experts using detailed checks of materials, construction, hardware, stamps and overall consistency with the brand and period.

Q: What condition is the necklace in?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with gentle vintage wear.

Q: Does it come with the original box or authenticity card?
A: No. This item is listed with no product information included, so the necklace is sold on its own unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Q: How should I care for a vintage rhinestone necklace?
A: Handle it gently and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid water, perfume, lotions and harsh cleaning products, and do not soak it, as moisture can be hard on vintage rhinestone settings and finishes.

Q: Can I wear it every day?
A: You can wear it often, but vintage jewellery benefits from a little extra care. For the longest life, put it on after fragrance and cosmetics, and remove it before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping.

Q: Will this length work well for layering?
A: Yes. A 44 cm necklace is a versatile length that usually layers well with shorter chokers and longer chains. The compact pendant size also makes it easy to wear on its own for a more understated look.

Q: What does the Germany origin label mean?
A: Dior produced a significant amount of vintage costume jewellery in Germany, and German-made Dior pieces are well known among collectors. The Germany origin label on this necklace is consistent with that vintage production history.
