Q: Are these for pierced ears or clip‑ons?
A: They feature a post back closure designed for pierced ears.

Q: What is the design and size?
A: This is an intentionally asymmetrical pair with a moon on one side and a star on the other with J'Adior logo detailing. The approximate dimensions are 4.5 cm × 4.5 cm; please refer to the photos and Measurements for confirmation.

Q: Are they real gold or sterling silver?
A: Dior J'Adior earrings are part of the brand’s fashion jewellery line and are crafted in gold‑tone and silver‑tone plated metal rather than solid gold or sterling silver.

Q: Are they hypoallergenic?
A: The exact metal composition is not specified by the brand, so we cannot guarantee they are nickel‑free. If you have sensitive ears, we recommend trying short wear times first and using silicone sleeves or hypoallergenic earring backs.

Q: Will the finish tarnish or darken over time?
A: Plated finishes can naturally develop patina or darkening with normal wear, especially with exposure to moisture, perfume, lotions, or high humidity. This pair shows light tarnish and minor surface marks consistent with the condition notes.

Q: How should I care for them?
A: After each wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid contact with water, fragrance, lotions, and cleaning agents, and store them individually in a soft pouch away from humidity. Avoid abrasive polishes that may remove plating.

Q: Are the two earrings identical?
A: No. They are intentionally mismatched—one features a star motif and the other a moon—for a playful asymmetric look.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under product information. If a Dior box, dust bag, or spare backs are not mentioned there, they are not included. For this listing, no additional items are included.

Q: What is the condition of this pair?
A: Very good overall with signs of use. The metal shows a bit of tarnish with light scratches and some darker marks; please see the photos for details.

Q: Can I replace the earring backs if needed?
A: Yes. The posts accept standard friction (butterfly) backs, including silicone or metal options, so you can use replacements for a snug fit.

Q: How does A Retro Tale verify authenticity?
A: Every piece is examined by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, stamps, and overall workmanship. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share further product information on request.
