Q: Is this Christian Dior Pearl Tribales Earrings pair authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully inspected and authenticated by our in‑house experts and is covered by our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from? Are the pearls real and is the metal solid gold?
A: Dior Tribales earrings are typically crafted from resin (faux) pearls with gold‑tone plated metal. They are not solid gold unless explicitly stated, and the pearls are not natural. This pair features champagne‑coloured resin pearls, gold‑tone hardware and a star detail. Please review the photos and contact us if you’d like us to confirm any specifics.

Q: Are these for pierced ears or clip‑on? How do they fasten?
A: This style is for pierced ears and uses a push‑back closure. On Tribales, the larger pearl sits behind the earlobe as the back piece, with the smaller front pearl as the stud.

Q: How do I wear Dior Tribales correctly?
A: Insert the small front pearl’s post through your piercing from the front, then secure the larger pearl behind the lobe until it feels snug. The star detail should face outward. Avoid overtightening to maintain comfort and finish.

Q: What is the size and are they heavy?
A: Please refer to the Measurements on this page (approx. Height 2 cm, Width 1.6 cm, Depth 3 cm). Tribales are designed to be comfortable for regular wear. If you need the exact gram weight, message us and we’ll provide it.

Q: Are they hypoallergenic and nickel‑free?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys and plating may contain nickel. If you have sensitive ears, consider using protective barrier discs or sleeves and discontinue use if irritation occurs. Contact us for guidance.

Q: How should I care for and clean them?
A: Keep them dry and away from perfume, lotions, hairspray and sanitiser. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and store separately in a pouch or box to avoid scratches. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips.

Q: Will the plating tarnish or the resin pearls discolour over time?
A: Plated finishes can show light surface wear with use, and resin pearls can dull if exposed to moisture or chemicals. Proper care—keeping them dry, avoiding cosmetics, and storing individually—helps preserve their colour and lustre.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on Dior earrings?
A: Dior pieces typically feature a “Dior” or “Christian Dior” signature and may include country or production markings. Hallmark format and placement vary by era; some vintage pieces may carry “Germany” stamps. Please check our close‑up photos for any markings present on this pair.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included and can I return them?
A: This pair is listed in Very Good Condition; light vintage wear such as micro‑scratches may be present. Only accessories specifically stated are included—this listing notes no accessories. Returns are accepted in line with our policy; earrings must be unworn and returned in the same condition received. Please see our Returns page for eligibility and timeframes.
