Q: What typically fits in the Bolide 25 Cosmetic Pouch (25 × 17 × 8 cm)?
A: Daily make-up, skincare minis, travel-size bottles, a compact hairbrush, and small essentials such as keys, cardholder, and most smartphones up to around 6.7 inches. Capacity varies with how you pack; refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Is this the same as the Hermès Bolide handbag?
A: No. The cosmetic pouch is a zip-top case designed for organising items or carrying as a small clutch, whereas the Bolide handbag is a structured bag with top handles (and, on some models, a detachable strap). They share the iconic rounded Bolide silhouette and zip lineage but serve different purposes.

Q: Can I use it as a clutch or inside a larger bag?
A: Yes. Its structured base lets it sit neatly as a small clutch for casual outings, and its slim profile makes it ideal as an in-bag organiser inside larger totes and handbags.

Q: What materials does this piece have and what is the interior like?
A: This vintage piece is crafted in yellow cotton canvas with tan leather trim and silver-tone hardware. It has a beige cotton lining with two internal slip pockets and a zip closure, offering easy organisation of small items.

Q: Is the canvas water-resistant?
A: Cotton canvas offers light durability but is not waterproof. Avoid sustained moisture or heavy rain. If it gets lightly wet, blot gently with a soft, dry cloth and allow it to air-dry away from direct heat.

Q: How should I care for the canvas and leather trim?
A: For canvas, dust regularly and wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth if needed; avoid harsh cleaners. For the leather trim, use a clean, dry cloth and keep away from oils, solvents, and prolonged sunlight/heat. Store the pouch loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag, standing upright in a cool, dry place.

Q: Does it come with a strap or any add-ons?
A: This cosmetic pouch is designed without a strap. Everything included with the item is listed under product information on this page. For this specific piece, no additional items such as a dust bag or box are listed.

Q: Where was it made?
A: The label indicates France as the country of origin for this piece.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this item?
A: Every item is vetted by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, logos/stamps, and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional photos or details on request.
