Q: What typically fits inside this long envelope wallet?
A: With approximate measurements of 22.5 × 10 × 0.5 cm, it is ideal for unfolded banknotes, receipts, a slim cardholder, travel tickets and a passport placed horizontally. The design includes one main compartment, one internal slip pocket and an external back slip pocket, so it suits slim everyday essentials without bulk. Capacity depends on how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Will a smartphone fit inside?
A: Due to the wallet’s very slim depth, most modern smartphones—especially larger models—will not fit comfortably. Some smaller, very slim phones without a case may slide in, but we do not recommend using this wallet to carry a phone regularly as it can strain the leather and distort the shape.

Q: What does the date stamp Square K (2007) mean?
A: Hermès uses a letter-in-shape blind stamp to indicate the production year. A letter K inside a square corresponds to 2007, part of the 1997–2014 series when letters were framed by a square.

Q: Does Hermès include an authenticity card with wallets?
A: No. Hermès does not issue authenticity cards for its leather goods. Instead, items carry blind stamps and brand markings. At A Retro Tale, every piece is rigorously authenticated by our experts before listing.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This wallet comes with a Hermès dust bag as listed. Boxes, care booklets or other extras are only included if stated under Accessories on this page.

Q: Is the fuchsia colour prone to fading or transfer?
A: All leather colours can be affected by prolonged exposure to strong light and heat, and lighter or vibrant shades may show transfer from dark textiles (for example, indigo denim). Store away from direct sunlight and avoid repeated contact with dark or abrasive fabrics to keep the colour pristine.

Q: How should I care for and store the grained leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, lint‑free cloth if needed and keep the leather away from water, oils, perfumes and alcohol-based products. Do not overload the wallet. When not in use, store it in its dust bag in a cool, dry place, lightly stuffed to maintain its silhouette. Commercial leather conditioners are not recommended for Hermès; for deep care, consult Hermès after‑sales service.

Q: Can Hermès service or refresh this wallet in the future?
A: Yes. Hermès’ after‑sales service (“Hermès Spa”) can assess cleaning, edge and stitch touch‑ups, and other care options for small leather goods. Services are arranged through Hermès boutiques and are subject to craftsmen’s evaluation.

Q: Is the hardware durable?
A: Hermès hardware is typically brass plated with precious finishes such as palladium or fine gold. Hairline scratches from normal use are expected over time; avoid contact with rough surfaces and store the piece separately in its dust bag to minimise rubbing.
