Q: Are these Saint Laurent earrings suitable for non-pierced ears?
A: Yes. They feature a clip-on fastening that secures gently to the earlobe without a piercing. Open the clip, position the earring on the lobe, and close until snug. Do not over‑tighten; the fit should feel secure but comfortable.

Q: Will clip-on earrings hurt, and how can I make them more comfortable?
A: Clip-ons rely on light pressure to stay in place. For all‑day comfort, ensure the clips are properly adjusted, add silicone or foam cushions if you have sensitive ears, and give your lobes a brief break every few hours. Choosing the right tension and pad thickness greatly reduces pressure points.

Q: How do I adjust the clip tension safely?
A: If your pair uses a hinged paddle or comfort clip, you can slightly loosen or tighten the tension bar with very gentle pressure in small increments. Screw‑back styles are adjusted by turning the screw to the desired hold. If you’re unsure which mechanism you have, or the fit still isn’t right, a jeweller can fine‑tune them for you.

Q: Are these earrings nickel-free and suitable for sensitive skin?
A: As a vintage, gold‑tone fashion jewellery piece, the exact metal composition is not specified and may include base metals. Those with known nickel sensitivity should use barrier pads, limit continuous wear at first, and discontinue use if irritation occurs. Regulations limit nickel release in jewellery sold in the UK/EU today, but vintage pieces may pre‑date current standards.

Q: How secure are clip-on earrings during wear?
A: When correctly adjusted, clip-ons hold firmly for everyday use. Test the fit before heading out, avoid tugging or heavy scarves, and remove them for vigorous activity or windy conditions. Cushion pads can improve grip as well as comfort.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone finish?
A: After each wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry, lint‑free cloth. Keep away from moisture, perfumes, hairspray, lotions, chlorine, and household cleaners. If deeper cleaning is needed, use a barely damp cloth with a tiny drop of mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive polishing cloths, ultrasonic cleaners, alcohol, vinegar, or baking‑soda pastes, which can strip plating. Store separately in a soft pouch to prevent scratches.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps might be present on vintage Saint Laurent earrings?
A: Vintage pieces may show marks such as YSL, Yves Saint Laurent, and often Made in France or Made in Italy, sometimes on a small cartouche or directly on the clip. More recent jewellery can read Saint Laurent Paris. Marking style and placement vary by era and design.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This listing notes no accessories. Everything included is stated in the Accessories section; if an item like a box or dust pouch is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How big are they and how will they sit on the ear?
A: Approximate dimensions are 2.5 cm high × 2.3 cm wide × 1.5 cm deep. They offer medium lobe coverage with a sculptural, cut‑out design. Fit and visual scale can vary by ear shape; please refer to the Measurements for accuracy.

Q: Are clip-on earrings suitable even if I have pierced ears?
A: Absolutely. Many people with piercings choose clip-ons to rest their piercings or for styles only made as clip-ons. Ensure a comfortable tension and consider using pads for longer wear.
