Q: Is this Van Cleef & Arpels Sweet Alhambra Bracelet authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What materials is it made from?
A: This bracelet is from the Sweet Alhambra collection and is crafted from 18k white gold featuring a butterfly motif set with turquoise. Turquoise is a natural stone, so slight variations in colour and matrix are normal and part of its unique character.

Q: What is the “Sweet” Alhambra size? How big is the motif?
A: The “Sweet” Alhambra collection features miniature versions of VCA’s iconic lucky motifs. The butterfly on this bracelet measures approximately 1.2 cm (height) x 1.1 cm (width). It is smaller and more delicate than the “Vintage” Alhambra size, making it perfect for subtle, everyday wear or stacking.

Q: Will it fit my wrist?
A: The bracelet has a listed perimeter of approximately 17 cm. Sweet Alhambra bracelets typically feature an intermediate jump ring (often at 15 cm or 16 cm) allowing it to be worn at a shorter length. Please measure your wrist snugly to ensure it fits within the 17 cm perimeter.

Q: How should I care for the turquoise?
A: Turquoise is a porous stone that is sensitive to water, oils, and chemicals. To prevent the colour from changing (turning green or darkening), keep it strictly dry. Avoid contact with perfume, lotion, hand sanitiser, and perspiration. Do not wear it in the shower, pool, or sea. Clean it only by wiping gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Q: How does it fasten?
A: It secures with a classic lobster clasp, which is standard for the Sweet Alhambra collection. It is designed to be secure for daily wear.

Q: Can it be resized?
A: A professional jeweller can often shorten the chain or add an extension. However, we do not offer in‑house modifications. Please note that any alteration can affect the item’s originality and resale value.

Q: What condition should I expect and what is included?
A: This bracelet is in Very Good Condition, meaning it has been well‑cared for but may show light signs of wear consistent with its vintage nature. This listing includes no accessories (no box or papers) unless specifically shown in the images. Returns are accepted under our standard policy.
