ChanelCoco Mark Dangling Clip-on Earrings

Q: Are these earrings for pierced ears?
A: No. This pair has a clip-on closure, so it is designed for non-pierced ears, although many people with pierced ears also wear clip-ons comfortably.

Q: What size are these earrings?
A: They measure approximately 7 cm in height, 2 cm in width, and 0.5 cm in depth. Their elongated dangling shape gives them a noticeable statement look.

Q: What are they made from?
A: They are crafted in gold-tone metal with a cut-out CC logo design. As vintage Chanel costume jewellery, they should be treated as fashion jewellery rather than solid gold.

Q: What condition are they in?
A: This pair is listed in very good vintage condition. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with gentle pre-owned wear.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: A box is included. Everything included with the item is listed in the product information on this page.

Q: Where were these earrings made?
A: The country of origin label states France, which is consistent with many vintage Chanel jewellery pieces.

Q: How should I care for vintage Chanel costume jewellery?
A: Apply perfume and makeup before putting them on, avoid water, heat and humidity, and wipe them gently with a soft dry cloth after wear. Store them separately to help protect the finish and reduce scratching.

Q: Are clip-on earrings comfortable to wear for several hours?
A: Comfort depends on your earlobes and sensitivity, but clip-ons are often comfortable when the tension is correct. Soft silicone comfort pads can help reduce pressure and improve grip for longer wear.

Q: Can clip-on earrings be adjusted or converted for pierced ears?
A: A professional jeweller may be able to adjust the clip tension, and some clip-ons can be converted. However, alterations can affect the original structure and may reduce collectability, so many vintage buyers prefer to keep them unaltered.

Q: How are vintage Chanel earrings usually authenticated?
A: Authenticity is typically assessed through a combination of hallmarks or signature plates, construction quality, finish, materials, and overall design details. At A Retro Tale, every item is reviewed by in-house experts before sale.
