Louis VuittonMonogram Randonnée PM Bag

Q: What are the measurements of the Randonnée PM?
A: Approx. 37 × 29 × 16 cm with an adjustable shoulder strap drop around 35–39 cm. Minor variations can occur between production years; please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact figures of this item.

Q: How much does it hold—will it fit A4 documents or a laptop?
A: A4 sheets fit vertically and a slim tablet is fine. A rigid A4 folder can be snug due to the tapered bucket shape, and a standard 13-inch laptop is generally not recommended for the PM size.

Q: How can it be carried and how does it close?
A: The adjustable leather shoulder straps allow shoulder or backpack-style wear. The bag has an open top with a drawstring closure and one main compartment, offering quick access without a zip.

Q: What materials is this model made from?
A: Monogram coated canvas with natural Vachetta leather trim, gold-tone hardware, and brown fabric lining. The coated canvas is designed for durability, while the Vachetta develops a natural patina over time.

Q: Is the canvas water-resistant and how does the leather react to moisture?
A: The coated canvas is water-resistant and easy to wipe clean. Vachetta leather is untreated and more sensitive—water can leave marks until the patina deepens. Avoid heavy rain and dry any moisture gently at room temperature.

Q: How should I care for the Vachetta leather and patina?
A: Handle with clean, dry hands, keep away from oils and alcohol-based cleaners, and if conditioning, use a wax-free product sparingly. Store stuffed in a breathable dust bag, away from direct heat and sunlight, to encourage an even honey-coloured patina.

Q: What does the date code AR0031 mean?
A: AR indicates production in France. For codes used in this era, the first and third digits denote the month and the second and fourth the year—so AR0031 decodes to March 2001.

Q: Are any extras included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section. This piece is listed with no additional items—if an item isn’t mentioned there, it is not included.

Q: Is this considered a vintage piece?
A: Yes. With a production date in 2001, this Randonnée PM is considered a vintage model, prized for its classic Monogram canvas and timeless bucket-backpack silhouette.
