Q: What can I fit inside this bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 18 × 11.5 × 8 cm, it suits daily small essentials: most smartphones, a compact wallet or cardholder, keys, a lipstick and compact, and slim sunglasses. Capacity depends on how you pack; structured cases may take more room than pouches.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody?
A: The single chain-and-leather strap has an approximate 22 cm drop, so it is designed to be worn on the shoulder or carried by hand rather than crossbody for most heights.

Q: Is this a single or double flap, and what’s the difference?
A: This is a single flap. Compared with double flap versions, single flaps tend to be a touch lighter and feel slightly roomier, with quicker access because there isn’t an inner flap under the main closure.

Q: What is the production period for serial number 3753563?
A: The 7‑digit serial beginning with 3 indicates a mid‑1990s production window, approximately 1994–1996. Please note that serial numbers help date a piece but are not proof of authenticity on their own.

Q: Is the gold‑tone hardware real gold?
A: Many vintage Chanel bags from the 1980s–2000s era featured 24‑karat gold‑plated hardware. This piece is listed with gold‑tone hardware and shows light surface scratches. Because plating can vary by production and we do not lab‑test hardware, we do not guarantee specific plating for this item.

Q: How should I care for the lambskin leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners or conditioners that could alter the finish. Keep away from prolonged sunlight, heat, and humidity. If minor surface marks appear, lightly buff in small circular motions. Store upright in a breathable dust bag with the chain wrapped to prevent imprints, and stuff lightly to maintain shape.

Q: Is the strap adjustable or removable?
A: No. The interwoven chain-and-leather strap is fixed in length and non‑detachable.

Q: What accessories are included?
A: This item includes a serial number tag as listed under Accessories. If an item such as a dust bag or box is not listed, it is not included—feel free to contact us for confirmation.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: France, as indicated on the origin label.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this item?
A: Every piece is vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and serials. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional details on request.
