Q: What materials is this Chanel necklace made from?
A: This is Chanel costume jewellery featuring gold‑tone hardware with glass rhinestones and a black leather interwoven chain. It is not solid gold or sterling silver, and Chanel does not typically disclose exact alloy compositions for costume pieces.

Q: Is the length adjustable and how does it fasten?
A: Yes. The chain measures approximately 46 cm and is adjustable. It secures with a lobster clasp so you can fine‑tune the drop for different necklines or layering.

Q: Are the charms removable?
A: The Coco Mark, star and clover charms are integrated into the design and are not intended to be detached.

Q: How should I care for the rhinestones and plated finish?
A: Put it on last and take it off first. Avoid contact with water, perfume, lotions and hand sanitiser. After wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and store it separately in a pouch, away from humidity and direct sunlight. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or abrasive cloths.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower, swimming or while exercising?
A: No. Moisture, chlorine, salt, heat and sweat can dull the plating and may weaken the adhesive that secures rhinestones. Remove the necklace before bathing, swimming, workouts or sleeping.

Q: Will it tarnish or will stones fall out over time?
A: With regular wear, gold‑tone plating on base metals can show surface discolouration, and rhinestones can loosen if knocked. Careful wear and proper storage greatly reduce this, but occasional maintenance may be needed over the years.

Q: How can I authenticate Chanel costume jewellery like this?
A: Look for a small signature or plaque stamped Chanel, often with a copyright/registered mark and sometimes a season/year code. Assess the quality of casting, symmetry of the CC logo and neat stone settings. For certainty, rely on professional authentication—A Retro Tale rigorously authenticates every item and guarantees authenticity.

Q: Is it suitable for sensitive skin or nickel allergies?
A: Chanel does not state that its costume jewellery is nickel‑free. As with many fashion jewellery alloys, trace nickel may be present. If you have known sensitivities, avoid prolonged skin contact and discontinue wear if irritation occurs.

Q: What comes with this necklace?
A: This item is sold without accessories. All inclusions are listed under Accessories; if a box or authenticity card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What do the star and clover motifs symbolise?
A: Stars are a longstanding Chanel icon linked to the maison’s historic comet motif and the idea of following one’s lucky star, while four‑leaf clovers are widely regarded as symbols of good fortune. This design brings those talismanic touches together with the Coco Mark.
