Q: What year is this Chanel Mini Tassel CC Handle Bag from?
A: Its serial number 9764366 places it in the 9‑series, dating the piece to approximately 2004–2005. As noted on the label, this example was made in Italy.

Q: Is this considered vintage?
A: Yes. At over 20 years old, this piece is commonly regarded as vintage while still offering a timeless Chanel silhouette.

Q: What typically fits inside this mini tote?
A: With approximate dimensions of 22 × 21 × 13 cm, it comfortably holds a large smartphone, small wallet or cardholder, keys, sunglasses, and a few cosmetics or a compact pouch. It is not sized for A4 documents or laptops and is best treated as a compact day bag.

Q: Does it have a shoulder strap or attachable rings?
A: No. This model is designed to be carried by hand via its dual top handles (approximate drop 12 cm). It does not include D‑rings for a detachable strap.

Q: The description mentions a missing zipper pull—does the bag still close securely?
A: Yes. The top zip functions; however, the original pull tab is missing as noted under Internal Condition. Many owners replace a missing pull through professional repair if desired; feel free to contact us for guidance.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This bag comes with its serial number tag. Unless specifically listed under Accessories, items like the authenticity card, dust bag, or box are not included.

Q: How should I care for the beige leather and prevent colour transfer?
A: Follow Chanel’s care advice: avoid overfilling, prolonged exposure to sunlight or humidity, and contact between light leathers and dark fabrics (such as denim) to minimise colour transfer. Wipe gently with a soft, non‑pilling cloth after use and store upright in a breathable dust bag with handles/chain wrapped to prevent imprints.

Q: Can Chanel repair or replace parts on a vintage bag like this (e.g., tassel or zipper pull)?
A: Chanel offers after‑sales care via its boutique service programme, which assesses repairs case by case and provides a quote depending on parts availability and the work required. If a boutique repair is not available or you prefer cosmetic restoration, reputable leather specialists can often replace pulls and perform touch‑ups.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes multi‑point authentication, including checks of the serial sticker/tag, materials, quilting and stitching, logo stamps, hardware, and construction details. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional photos or details on request.
