Q: Are these earrings suitable if I do not have pierced ears?
A: Yes. These Hermès earrings have a clip-on fastening, so they are designed to be worn without pierced ears. They can also be worn by those with pierced ears if you enjoy a clip-on style.

Q: What size are these earrings?
A: They measure approximately 3.1 cm in height, 3.5 cm in width and 0.5 cm in depth. This gives them a compact yet noticeable geometric statement look.

Q: What are they made from?
A: This pair features black leather with gold-tone hardware. They are a vintage Hermès design made in France.

Q: What condition are they in?
A: They are listed in very good vintage condition, with light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny and shows light surface scratches, which is typical for a pre-owned vintage jewellery piece.

Q: What is included with this pair?
A: The box is included. Everything included with the item is listed in the product information, so if another item is not mentioned there, it should be considered not included.

Q: Are clip-on earrings comfortable to wear?
A: Comfort can vary depending on your ear shape and sensitivity. Clip-on earrings should feel secure rather than painfully tight; for longer wear, many people prefer to add soft silicone comfort pads or take short breaks during the day.

Q: Can the clip-on fit be adjusted?
A: Many vintage clip-on earrings can be adjusted slightly, but vintage mechanisms can also be delicate. If the fit feels too tight or too loose, we recommend very careful handling and, ideally, adjustment by a professional to help avoid damage.

Q: How should I care for leather and gold-tone vintage jewellery?
A: Keep the earrings away from perfume, cosmetics, water, humidity and heat. After wear, gently wipe them with a soft dry cloth and store them separately in their box or a soft pouch to help protect the leather and hardware.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is authenticated by in-house experts through a two-step screening process. The store also offers an optional third-party digital certificate service for additional peace of mind.
