Q: Do I need pierced ears to wear these Chanel earrings?
A: No. They feature a secure clip-on closure designed for non‑pierced ears, so they can be worn comfortably without a post.

Q: How comfortable and secure are clip-on earrings for all‑day wear?
A: Properly adjusted clips sit snugly without pinching. Because these are resin with gold‑tone hardware, they are relatively lightweight compared with all‑metal styles. For longer events, consider adding soft silicone pads and taking brief breaks to relieve pressure.

Q: Can I adjust the clip tension myself if they feel tight or loose?
A: Minor adjustments can make a big difference, but we recommend having a jeweller do this. If you choose to adjust at home, make only very small changes to the hinge/clip and test frequently to avoid stressing the hardware.

Q: What are the measurements and how do they sit on the ear?
A: Each earring measures approximately 2 × 2 × 1.5 cm. The square black resin base frames a rhinestone‑embellished CC logo and sits neatly on the lobe, offering a classic Chanel statement without excessive weight.

Q: Are these suitable for sensitive ears or nickel allergies?
A: Chanel costume jewellery typically uses gold‑tone plated metal over a base alloy. As sensitivities vary, we cannot guarantee nickel‑free composition. Use clip cushions as a barrier and discontinue wear if irritation occurs.

Q: Can clip-ons be converted to pierced earrings?
A: Some jewellers can convert certain designs, but we do not recommend altering vintage Chanel pieces. Conversion may damage the resin, compromise the fit, and reduce collectable value.

Q: How should I clean and care for resin and rhinestones?
A: Keep them dry. Wipe gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth after wear. Avoid soaking, ultrasonic cleaners, alcohol, perfume, hairspray, and harsh chemicals. Store in the box provided, away from humidity and direct sunlight.

Q: Can I wear them in the shower, pool, or rain?
A: No. Water and humidity can dull rhinestones, affect adhesives, and tarnish metal. Remove before bathing, swimming, exercising, or styling hair.

Q: What hallmarks should I expect on vintage Chanel earrings?
A: Many vintage Chanel earrings have a signature plaque or stamp on the reverse that reads Chanel and may include a season code; hallmark styles changed over time and not every piece is marked identically. We can share close‑up photos of any stamps on request.

Q: What is included with this pair and what is the condition?
A: This pair comes with a box. It is in very good vintage condition with light traces of use; the hardware remains shiny with minor surface scratches, as noted on this page.
