Q: What laptops will this 15-inch Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Laptop Case fit?
A: It’s designed for slim 14–15-inch class laptops and ultrabooks. Based on the listed measurements (approx. 34 × 25 × 0.5 cm), many 13–14-inch devices fit comfortably, while some wider 15-inch and most 16-inch models are typically too large. Please compare your device’s exact dimensions with the Measurements on this page, and feel free to ask us for a tailored fit check for this specific piece.

Q: Is the case padded and how protective is it?
A: It offers light structure with a textile lining to help protect against scratches and minor bumps, but it isn’t a hard shell or drop-proof case. For extra cushioning (especially during travel), we recommend using a thin protective sleeve for your laptop inside the case.

Q: What is the interior layout?
A: Most Louis Vuitton laptop sleeves in this style feature a single main compartment without additional pockets or organisers. Our listing photos show the exact configuration of this item.

Q: Does it have a strap or handle?
A: No—this is a slim sleeve with a zip‑around closure and no strap or handle. It’s intended to be carried by hand or slipped inside a larger bag or briefcase.

Q: How secure is the closure, and could the zip scratch my laptop?
A: The zip‑around closure provides good day‑to‑day security. The zip sits on fabric tape, but as with any metal zip we recommend inserting and removing your device carefully and closing the zip slowly. A thin secondary sleeve can offer added peace of mind if you’re concerned about contact with the zipper.

Q: Is Damier Graphite coated canvas water‑resistant?
A: Louis Vuitton’s coated canvas resists light rain and splashes, but the case is not waterproof and moisture can enter around the zip. Avoid heavy rain; if it gets wet, blot gently with a soft cloth and allow to air‑dry away from heat sources.

Q: How should I care for the Damier Graphite canvas, lining and hardware?
A: Wipe the coated canvas and textile lining with a soft, dry cloth; avoid harsh cleaners and solvents. Keep away from oils, inks and prolonged sunlight, and be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim. Store the case empty, upright or flat, in a breathable dust bag. Hardware can show light hairline scratches with normal use—avoid abrasive surfaces and do not use metal polish on LV hardware finishes.

Q: Will this work for airport security (TSA/hand luggage checks)?
A: Policies vary by country and airport. Many checkpoints still require laptops to be removed from sleeves unless the sleeve is explicitly “checkpoint‑friendly.” This zip‑around sleeve is not classified as such, so you may need to remove your device during screening.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes located, and how is authenticity handled?
A: You’ll find an interior heat‑stamp (e.g., “LOUIS VUITTON Paris” and country of origin). Older pieces typically have a date code; more recent ones may use an embedded microchip instead of a visible code. Placement varies and can be along an interior seam—contact us for close‑ups of this exact item. Every piece at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in‑house experts via multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and code/microchip data.

Q: What accessories are included, and can Louis Vuitton service this item?
A: This listing notes “no accessories.” Anything included is always shown under Accessories; if it isn’t mentioned there, it isn’t included. Louis Vuitton boutiques can often assess and service components like zips subject to parts availability; costs and lead times vary by region. We’re happy to advise on options or help you prepare for a boutique assessment.
