BalenciagaCity Edge Bracelet

Q: What wrist size does the Balenciaga City Edge Bracelet fit?
A: This piece adjusts via its buckle and, as measured by us, suits an inner wrist circumference of approximately 12–16 cm. The strap width is about 3.5 cm. For comfort, measure your wrist snugly and add 0.5–1 cm before choosing your fit.

Q: What is it made from?
A: The City line bracelets are crafted in Arena lambskin with brass hardware featuring the signature studs and buckle. This particular bracelet is grey leather with gold-tone hardware. Current Balenciaga City bracelets are described as nickel- and lead-free; vintage pieces typically share the same brass construction.

Q: Is the hardware real gold?
A: No. It is gold-tone brass (plated), not solid gold. Light, hairline scratches are normal with wear and are consistent with the character of this finish.

Q: What does “City Edge” refer to?
A: City Edge belongs to Balenciaga’s Metallic Edge family within the iconic City line, known for more defined metal trim and hardware details inspired by the brand’s motorcycle aesthetic. On bracelets, this translates to pronounced studs and a framed, polished look.

Q: Is this bracelet unisex?
A: Yes. The minimalist cuff design and adjustable fit make it suitable for any gender, provided the wrist falls within the size range above.

Q: How should I care for the leather and hardware?
A: Keep away from moisture, oils and perfumes. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Condition sparingly with a quality leather conditioner when the leather feels dry. Store flat in its box, away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid over-tightening the buckle to minimise creasing, and use a clean microfibre cloth for the hardware only.

Q: Can a cobbler add extra holes or shorten the strap?
A: A skilled leather specialist can add holes or adjust length, but any modification may affect structural integrity and potential resale value. We recommend assessing fit before altering the piece.

Q: What condition should I expect?
A: Very Good. There are light traces of use overall. The hardware is shiny with light surface scratches, consistent with gentle wear. Please refer to the photos for the most accurate view.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale is vetted by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of leather, stitching, logo embossing and hardware. Packaging alone is not proof of authenticity; our assessment focuses on the item itself. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: What accessories are included?
A: This bracelet comes with its box. Everything included is always listed under Accessories; if something is not listed, it is not included.
