Q: What typically fits inside this Bottega Veneta Nappa Intrecciato Fringe Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 26 x 20 x 16 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, small wallet, keys, sunglasses, a compact and a few small extras. It is not large enough for a laptop or A4 documents. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact size.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: It features a single adjustable strap with a listed strap measurement of 60 cm. Depending on your height and preferred fit, it can work as a shoulder bag or a relaxed crossbody style. Comparing the listed strap measurement with a bag you already wear is the best guide.

Q: What is this bag made from?
A: This piece is crafted in black Intrecciato nappa leather with fringe detailing and gunmetal hardware. The interior is lined in brown suede.

Q: How does the bag close, and are there any internal pockets?
A: The bag has a top zip closure and one internal slip pocket for smaller essentials.

Q: Is the fringe purely decorative?
A: Yes, the fringe is primarily a design detail that adds movement and character to the bag. Your main storage remains inside the zipped compartment, but it is worth taking a little extra care to avoid the fringe catching on rough surfaces or jewellery.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in very good condition overall, with light traces of use to both the exterior and interior. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches.

Q: Is Intrecciato nappa durable for everyday use?
A: Bottega Veneta’s woven nappa leather is soft, supple and luxurious, but it is also more delicate than heavily grained or coated leathers. With careful use it can age beautifully, though rubbing, corner wear and colour transfer from dark clothing may appear over time.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Bottega Veneta nappa bag with a suede lining?
A: Store it in its dust bag, keep it away from rain, oils and prolonged heat, and avoid overfilling so the woven leather keeps its shape. Because nappa leather and suede are delicate, deeper cleaning is best left to a specialist leather cleaner. Extra care is also wise around dark denim and rough surfaces.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This bag comes with a dust bag and mirror. Everything included with the purchase is listed in the product information on this page.

Q: How do you authenticate vintage Bottega Veneta bags?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is reviewed by specialists who assess the weave, leather quality, hardware, stamps and other construction details. Vintage Bottega Veneta pieces can vary by era, so authentication is based on the bag as a whole rather than on one detail alone.
