Q: How should I care for vintage Chanel lambskin? A: Vintage lambskin is soft and luxurious, but it benefits from gentle care. We recommend avoiding rain, prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat and overfilling. Store the bag in a cool, dry place and lightly stuff it when not in use to help maintain its shape. For cleaning, use only very gentle methods suitable for delicate leather.
Q: Is a slight vintage smell normal in a pre-owned bag? A: Yes, a light vintage or storage smell can occur in older pre-owned bags and is not unusual for pieces of this age. This bag’s slight vintage smell is already noted in the product information for full transparency.
Q: How do you authenticate a vintage Chanel bag like this? A: At A Retro Tale, every item is carefully vetted by our in-house experts. For vintage Chanel, authentication typically involves checking details such as materials, construction, stitching, hardware, markings and serial features alongside the overall consistency of the piece.
