Q: What typically fits inside the Chanel Coco Mark Caviar Mini Pouch?
A: With interior space based on the listed measurements (about 12 × 8 × 3 cm), it comfortably holds 6–10 cards, folded banknotes, coins, a key fob, a lipstick, a small mirror, and an AirPods/AirPods Pro case. It is designed for compact essentials rather than a phone.

Q: Will a smartphone fit in this pouch?
A: No. Most modern smartphones exceed the pouch’s 12 cm width and 8 cm height, so this piece is best for cards and small items.

Q: Is Chanel caviar leather durable and water-resistant?
A: Caviar leather (pebbled calfskin) is known for excellent scratch and scuff resistance, making it more robust than lambskin. It is not fully waterproof; avoid soaking and wipe away light moisture promptly.

Q: How should I clean and care for the caviar leather?
A: Wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth after use. For deeper cleaning, use a gentle, pH‑neutral leather cleaner sparingly and test on an inconspicuous area. Keep away from oils, cosmetics, and prolonged sunlight/heat; store loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag in a cool, dry place. Do not overfill to preserve the zip and seams.

Q: Does this pouch come with an authenticity card or dust bag?
A: As listed under Accessories, no accessories are included with this item. Chanel moved many models to microchip‑based authentication from 2021, replacing the traditional authenticity card and serial sticker; older vintage pieces may still feature a serial sticker and originally came with a card.

Q: What does Coco Mark refer to?
A: Coco Mark is Chanel’s signature interlocking CC logo, here showcased on the exterior of the pouch.

Q: Is the gold‑tone hardware real gold?
A: Many vintage Chanel pieces produced before late 2008 were plated with 24‑karat gold; later collections use gold‑tone finishes without real gold plating. Hardware composition depends on the production year and may show normal plating wear over time.

Q: Can I add a strap and wear it crossbody?
A: This mini pouch is designed as a hand‑held/in‑bag accessory and does not have D‑rings for a strap. Aftermarket chains or inserts can stress the zip and leather and are not recommended.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a detailed, multi‑point inspection of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and construction. We stand by the authenticity of all products and can share further details on request.

Q: Any storage tips to keep it looking its best?
A: Store the pouch loosely stuffed with acid‑free tissue in a breathable dust bag, keep it away from humidity, and avoid prolonged contact between light and dark colours to minimise colour transfer. Do not overfill to maintain its shape.
