Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With compact measurements of 19 x 11 x 6 cm, this bag is best for pared-back essentials such as cards, keys, lipstick, and other small daily items. A bulky long wallet or larger pouch may be a tight fit, so please use the Measurements on this page as your guide.

Q: Can it be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: It features a single chain link shoulder strap with an approximate 52 cm drop. It is primarily designed as a shoulder bag, though the way it sits will vary depending on your height and frame.

Q: Is this a single flap or double flap Chanel bag?
A: This piece is listed as a Single Flap model. Many collectors appreciate single flap styles for being lighter and a little easier to access than double flap versions, while still keeping the classic CC turn-lock look.

Q: What era is this Chanel bag from?
A: The serial number begins with 1, which corresponds to the 1989-1991 period. That places this bag firmly in the vintage Chanel era.

Q: What materials and details does this bag have?
A: According to the product information, it is crafted in black quilted suede with gold-tone hardware, a black leather lining, internal pockets, a CC turn-lock closure, and a single chain link shoulder strap.

Q: Is this a practical day-to-evening bag?
A: Yes. Its compact vintage flap shape makes it well suited to lunches, dinners, events, and light daily use. Because it is suede, many buyers prefer to use it a little more carefully than a grained leather everyday bag.

Q: How should I care for vintage suede?
A: Suede is a delicate material and benefits from gentle handling. Avoid rain, prolonged sunlight, humidity, perfume, and rough surfaces. When not in use, store the bag lightly stuffed in its dust bag and avoid overfilling it so it keeps its shape. For stains or deeper cleaning, professional suede care is the safest option.

Q: What condition is the bag in?
A: This item is graded Very Good Condition. The exterior has minor rubbing on the corners, the interior has minor marks, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: The product information states that this item comes with its serial number and a dust bag. If an authenticity card, box, or other extras are not listed in the product information, they are not included.

Q: How is authenticity checked?
A: A Retro Tale carefully vets its items using details such as materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and serial information. This bag also has a vintage-era serial number, which is an important supporting detail in the authentication process.
