Q: Are these suitable for non-pierced ears?
A: Yes. They are ear clips with a secure clip-on mechanism designed for non-pierced lobes. They can also be worn on pierced ears when you prefer not to use posts.

Q: How secure and comfortable is the clip mechanism?
A: The hinged clip provides a firm hold on the lobe. For all-day comfort, ensure the fit is snug but not tight and consider adding small silicone cushions or clip-on pads to reduce pressure. Allow your ears short breaks during extended wear.

Q: Can I adjust the clip tension?
A: Minor tension adjustments are possible, but they should be done gently and preferably by a professional jeweller. Even tiny bends can make a big difference, so avoid forceful at-home adjustments that could weaken the hinge. Comfort pads can also help fine-tune the fit.

Q: What are the measurements and how do they wear on the ear?
A: Approx. 2.5 cm in height and 1.7 cm in width (about 25 × 17 mm). They sit neatly on the lobe with a modest, sculptural profile. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact details.

Q: What hallmarks should I expect on authentic Georg Jensen silver earrings?
A: Post‑1945 Georg Jensen pieces typically show GEORG JENSEN within a dotted oval, plus DENMARK and STERLING or 925 S, often alongside a design number. Mark positions vary by model and era.

Q: Will sterling silver tarnish, and how should I care for these?
A: Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time. Wear them regularly, wipe with a soft impregnated polishing cloth, store pieces separately, and avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, chlorine, or household chemicals. Do not use silver dip; it can damage the surface and make tarnish return faster.

Q: The silver looks slightly darker in the recesses—should I polish that away?
A: Some Georg Jensen pieces feature an intentional oxidised finish to highlight details. Over‑polishing or using dips can remove this finish. Clean gently with a soft cloth only.

Q: What is included with this pair?
A: Everything included is listed under product information. If a branded box, pouch or spare pads are not shown there, they are not included.

Q: What is the Heritage collection, and which year is this design from?
A: The Heritage collection revisits archival motifs in annual editions with a vintage, Art Nouveau feel. According to our product information, this pair is from the 1998 edition.

Q: Can clip-on earrings be converted to pierced posts?
A: Some jewellers can convert clips to posts, but doing so alters the original design and may affect collectability and any future service considerations. We do not offer conversion and recommend enjoying them in their original clip-on form.
