Q: What are the key details of this Gucci Bamboo 1947 Medium Top Handle Bag?
A: It is crafted in black leather with gold‑tone hardware and features a hand‑curved bamboo top handle and a bamboo turn‑lock closure. Inside, it has red leather lining with an internal zipped pocket. Approximate size is 27 × 16 × 8 cm with a handle drop of about 12 cm. Please refer to the photos and measurements for exact details.

Q: What typically fits inside the Medium size?
A: Daily essentials such as a smartphone, compact wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick, and sunglasses in a soft pouch fit comfortably. Slim extras like a small notebook or e‑reader may fit depending on their dimensions. It is not designed for full‑size tablets or bulky cases—please compare your items to the measurements on this page.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder strap?
A: This specific piece is configured as a classic top‑handle bag with a single bamboo handle. No shoulder strap is included. Any included items are always listed under product information; if a strap is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How does the bamboo turn‑lock work?
A: Gently rotate the bamboo bar to open the flap, then align and turn it back to secure. It should close with a smooth click. Avoid forcing the mechanism; if it feels tight, check alignment rather than applying pressure.

Q: Is the bamboo handle durable and how should I care for it?
A: Gucci’s bamboo handles are heat‑shaped and flame‑treated, making them lightweight yet strong. To preserve it, avoid prolonged moisture, direct heat or strong sunlight, and heavy pressure. Wipe the handle with a soft, dry cloth after use and allow it to air‑dry if it gets lightly wet—do not use harsh cleaners or sanitisers on the bamboo.

Q: How should I care for the leather and store the bag?
A: Keep leather away from water, oils, perfumes and dyes; wipe with a soft dry cloth as needed. For storage, lightly stuff the bag to maintain shape, close the flap without stressing the lock, and keep it in a breathable dust bag in a cool, dry place. Do not stack heavy items on top of the bag.

Q: Will the bamboo handle fold flat for storage?
A: The handle is attached with hinges that allow some natural movement for access and comfort in carry, but it is not intended to be forced flat. Store the bag so the handle rests in its natural curved position without being compressed.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This listing includes the dust bag. Everything included is detailed under product information; if an item (such as a mirror or strap) is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What is the condition of this pre‑owned bag?
A: Very Good overall. There are visible scratches on the leather, the hardware remains shiny with light scratches, and the interior shows light traces of use. Please review all photos for a close‑up view of wear.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi‑point authentication by our specialists, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and codes. We stand behind the authenticity of all products and can share additional product information on request.
