Q: What does size 70 mean on this Gucci GG belt?
A: Gucci belt sizing is typically measured in centimetres to the middle hole. For a size 70 belt, that means approximately 70 cm from the buckle end to the centre hole. For the best fit, compare that measurement with where you plan to wear the belt on your body.

Q: Can this belt be worn on the waist as well as the hips?
A: Yes, Gucci GG belts are commonly worn either at the waist or on the hips, but the fit will vary depending on where you style it. This piece is size 70, so it is best suited to a smaller measurement point. If you usually wear belts lower on the hips, do check your measurements carefully before purchasing.

Q: How wide is this belt?
A: The belt width is approximately 4 cm. This makes it a versatile statement width that works well with jeans, tailored trousers, and some dresses or blazers with belt loops wide enough to accommodate it.

Q: What condition is this belt in?
A: This belt is in very good condition overall. The exterior shows some discoloration, the interior has minor marks, and the hardware remains shiny but has scratches and a visible dark mark. Please review the product images and condition notes carefully for the best understanding of its current vintage condition.

Q: Does this belt come with any accessories?
A: No. According to the product information, this item comes with no accessories. If a box, dust bag, or authenticity card is not listed in the product information, it is not included with this piece.

Q: Is this an authentic Gucci belt?
A: Yes. Every item sold by A Retro Tale is reviewed by in-house experts and checked for authenticity using brand-specific details such as materials, construction, hardware, and markings. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we offer.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Gucci belt like this?
A: We recommend gentle handling. Wipe the leather and hardware with a soft, dry cloth, avoid moisture, perfume, oils, and prolonged direct sunlight, and store the belt flat or loosely rolled in a cool, dry place. As with most vintage leather accessories, careful storage helps preserve both shape and finish.

Q: Can extra holes be added if the fit is slightly off?
A: In many cases, a professional cobbler can add an extra hole if needed, but this is a personal alteration and may affect the belt’s originality. Because luxury belts are designed to sit best around the middle hole, we generally recommend choosing the closest natural fit rather than relying on alterations.

Q: Will the leather stretch over time?
A: With regular wear, leather belts can soften slightly and may give a little, but any change is usually minor. It is best not to rely on stretch for a full size adjustment. For the most comfortable fit, use the stated size and your own measurements as the main guide.
