Q: What typically fits inside this Gucci Guccissima Horsebit Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 29 × 18 × 7 cm, it comfortably carries a large smartphone, a small wallet, keys, sunglasses, a cardholder and a few cosmetics. An A5 notebook can fit when placed horizontally. It will not fit A4 documents or most 11-inch tablets. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Is the chain shoulder strap adjustable or removable?
A: The bag features a fixed-length chain shoulder strap. On this piece, the drop is approximately 26 cm, designed primarily for shoulder carry and not intended to be adjusted or detached.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: It has a flap closure over the main compartment, offering good day‑to‑day security. For smaller valuables, use the internal slip pockets to keep items organised and less visible when opening the flap.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: The chain length on this style is best suited to the shoulder. Depending on your height, it may sit high if worn crossbody; we recommend comparing the 26 cm drop with a bag you already own to gauge the fit.

Q: What is Guccissima leather and how should I care for it?
A: Guccissima is embossed leather featuring the GG motif. Care by wiping with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding prolonged contact with moisture, oils and heat, and storing the bag lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag. Condition sparingly with a neutral leather cream and avoid sustained pressure from the chain or tassel on the leather to minimise marks.

Q: Does the tassel or horsebit hardware detach?
A: No, the decorative horsebit with leather tassel is an integral design element and is not intended to be removed.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. This piece is offered as photographed; if an item such as a dust bag is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What interior organisation does it have?
A: The bag is lined in beige canvas and includes internal slip pockets, ideal for cards or a compact. The slim 7 cm depth keeps the profile elegant while helping items stay in place.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is verified by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware and stamps. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional photos or details on request.

Q: What should I know about the condition of this piece?
A: It is in very good vintage condition with visible scuffing on the corners, some stains to the lining, light creasing at the flap, and scratches/dullness to the hardware. Please review all photos for close‑ups before purchasing.
