Q: What typically fits inside the Gucci Soho Chain Bag (Medium)?
A: With approximate measurements of 16 × 37 × 10 cm, it comfortably holds daily essentials such as a smartphone, long wallet, sunglasses in a soft case, keys, and a small makeup pouch. It is not designed for laptops or full‑size tablets. Capacity may vary depending on how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this be worn crossbody or is it mainly a shoulder bag?
A: The double chain straps make it primarily a shoulder bag. The longer drop (around 35 cm) can allow a high cross‑body carry for some, but most find it sits best as a classic shoulder bag. The shorter drop (around 14 cm) offers a closer‑to‑the‑body shoulder carry.

Q: Are the straps adjustable?
A: No. The straps are fixed double chain straps with leather shoulder pads for comfort. The two drops (approx. 14 cm and 35 cm) provide different carry lengths but are not adjustable like buckle straps.

Q: Is the tassel removable?
A: Yes. This model includes a removable leather tassel, allowing you to style the bag with or without it.

Q: How does the bag close and is it secure?
A: The bag features an internal clasp/hook‑style closure that secures the main compartment while keeping the silhouette clean. Always ensure the clasp is engaged before wearing to prevent items from slipping out.

Q: Is the Gucci Soho Chain Bag still in production?
A: The Soho line has evolved, and many Soho styles are now found mainly on the resale market. Availability of specific chain shoulder bag versions and colourways can be limited or discontinued; this piece is a vintage item offered through trusted resale.

Q: What is the interior like?
A: It has a natural canvas lining with internal pockets for organisation. On this piece there are light signs of use inside, including a few small fabric stains, consistent with the stated condition.

Q: How should I care for the grained leather and chain hardware?
A: Wipe leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh cleaners, oils, and prolonged exposure to sunlight or moisture. Take care around delicate knitwear, as chain links can snag. Store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag to help maintain its shape, and keep the chain tucked to avoid indentations.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is shown and listed in the product information on this page. For this listing, no additional items are included beyond the bag itself.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and codes. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share further details upon request.
