Q: What typically fits in this Small Anagram bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 30 × 17 × 11 cm and a handle drop of about 12 cm, it comfortably holds a smartphone, compact wallet, keys, sunglasses, and small cosmetics. It will not take A4 documents or a laptop; a small tablet or e‑reader may fit horizontally depending on its case and the bag’s internal opening—please compare with the measurements provided.

Q: Does this piece come with a shoulder strap or D‑rings for one?
A: This vintage Small Anagram is designed as a handheld style with dual rolled top handles. A detachable shoulder strap is not included and the bag is intended to be carried by hand or on the forearm; please check the photos and product information for the exact handle/drop details.

Q: What is the LOEWE Anagram canvas?
A: The Anagram is LOEWE’s house motif of four interlocking Ls, originally created in 1970 and seen across the brand’s collections. On this bag, it appears as a jacquard‑woven canvas with leather trim and gold‑tone hardware—a classic, quietly recognisable LOEWE look.

Q: How should I care for the Anagram canvas and leather trim?
A: Store the bag in a breathable dust bag and avoid overfilling so it keeps its shape. Keep it away from prolonged light/heat and excessive moisture. If it gets wet, dab gently with a soft cloth and let it dry at room temperature. As with many fabrics and leathers, colour transfer can occur—especially in humid conditions—so avoid prolonged contact with contrasting garments. For routine cleaning, wipe canvas and smooth leather lightly with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth; for deeper care, consult a leather specialist.

Q: Is the bag water‑resistant?
A: The jacquard canvas and leather trim are not waterproof. Try to avoid heavy rain. If exposed to moisture, blot gently and allow to air‑dry away from direct heat. Do not use harsh cleaners, soaps, or heat sources to speed up drying.

Q: Where are LOEWE bags made, and do they have serial numbers?
A: LOEWE leather goods are made in Spain. Many modern LOEWE bags have an interior leather label stamped with the brand name, Made in Spain, and a serial/identifier code. Older vintage pieces may not follow today’s coding formats, and serials are not publicly decodable for exact dating, so authentication should consider overall materials, stitching, hardware and stamps rather than relying on a code alone.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under product information. For this piece, a padlock and clochette are noted. If an item such as a dust bag or key is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Each item at A Retro Tale is examined by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and construction, with particular attention to LOEWE’s Anagram execution and interior labelling. We stand behind the authenticity of every piece we sell and can provide further details on request.

Q: The description mentions wear—what should I expect and how can I maintain it?
A: This vintage bag shows the signs noted in the condition report: wear to leather details and handles, scuffed corners, a tear on one zipper tab, and scratches/dulling on hardware. These are visible in the photos. To maintain the piece, avoid rubbing the corners on abrasive surfaces, store it stuffed to support the shape, and wipe hardware and leather gently with a soft cloth. A specialist leather repairer can usually address zipper pull tabs and edge scuffs if you prefer future refurbishment.
