Louis VuittonAdjustable Leather Belt

Q: What size is this Louis Vuitton belt?
A: This belt is marked size 80 and has an adjustable fit. In Louis Vuitton’s belt guide, size 80 generally corresponds to around a 32-inch waist. As fit can vary depending on whether you wear it on the waist or hips, the safest comparison is to measure a belt you already wear from the buckle pin to your most-used hole.

Q: How wide is the belt?
A: The belt is 4 cm wide, which is the classic 40 mm belt width. It offers a slightly bolder look than a slim dress belt and works especially well with jeans and smart-casual trousers.

Q: What materials and finish does this belt have?
A: This piece features black textured leather, a Monogram canvas lining, and gold-tone hardware. It is a vintage Louis Vuitton design with an adjustable buckle closure.

Q: What condition is this belt in?
A: The overall condition is Very Good. There is wear at the edges, light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny but shows scratches. Please review the photos closely for the most accurate visual impression.

Q: Are scratches on the buckle normal for Louis Vuitton belts?
A: Yes. Surface scratches on Louis Vuitton belt buckles are a common sign of wear, especially on polished hardware. For this belt, the hardware is still shiny overall, but scratches are present and already reflected in the condition description.

Q: Does this item come with any original extras?
A: No additional items are included with this piece. Everything included with the item is shown in the product information section, and for this belt no extra items are listed.

Q: What does the code BC0166 mean?
A: BC0166 is a Louis Vuitton date code rather than a unique serial number. Together with the Made in Spain label, it indicates production in Spain during the 6th week of 2016.

Q: How should I care for this vintage leather belt?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth and avoid water, oils, perfume, alcohol-based products, rough surfaces, and prolonged humidity. It is best stored flat or loosely rolled in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Because this piece already shows some edge wear and buckle scratches, gentle handling will help preserve it best.

Q: Can Louis Vuitton repair or adjust a belt like this?
A: Louis Vuitton states that its leather goods and belts can be assessed for repair, with pricing depending on the work required. If you are considering extra holes or a length adjustment, professional handling is recommended to protect both the leather and the finish.

Q: How do you authenticate this pre-owned belt?
A: Every pre-owned item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted for authenticity by in-house experts. Checks typically include materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and code consistency so you can shop with confidence.
