Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Epi leather?
A: With approximate measurements of 32 × 29 × 16 cm, it comfortably carries everyday essentials: a 13-inch laptop or tablet, A4 documents/diary, a continental wallet, slim water bottle, sunglasses in a soft case, keys and a small cosmetics pouch. Capacity reduces slightly if you cinch the side laces. Please compare your items with the Measurements listed or ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact bag.

Q: Will it fit a laptop?
A: Yes—most 13-inch laptops fit well. Many slim 14-inch models also fit, while most 15-inch devices are a squeeze and may require angling through the opening. For certainty, compare your device’s dimensions with the bag’s 32 × 29 × 16 cm measurements or ask us for a quick fit test.

Q: Are the straps adjustable? Can I wear it crossbody?
A: The Neverfull MM has dual flat shoulder straps designed for shoulder carry; they are not adjustable and the bag is not intended for crossbody wear. This specific piece has an approximate strap drop of 22 cm for comfortable under‑arm carry.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior like?
A: The bag features an open top with a central hook closure for quick access, plus side laces that can be cinched for a neater, more secure silhouette. Inside, this piece has a black Alcantara lining and includes a removable zipped pouch for valuables. For commuting or travel, we recommend keeping the bag upright and using the pouch for smaller items.

Q: What is Epi leather and how durable is it?
A: Epi is Louis Vuitton’s textured, grained full‑grain cowhide known for its robustness and resistance to light scratches. It offers excellent day‑to‑day durability compared with many smooth leathers and has a slightly water‑resistant finish, though it isn’t waterproof—avoid heavy rain and wipe off moisture promptly.

Q: How should I care for the Epi leather, Alcantara lining and hardware?
A: Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth after use; avoid harsh cleaners and prolonged sunlight. Condition sparingly with a high‑quality neutral product, testing on a discreet area first. Be mindful of colour transfer from dark or freshly dyed fabrics. For the Alcantara lining, use a clean lint roller or soft brush to lift dust and avoid liquids. Hardware will naturally show fine hairline scratches with wear—polish gently with a microfibre cloth and avoid abrasive surfaces.

Q: Is the Neverfull MM heavy and does the base sag?
A: The Epi leather Neverfull MM is relatively lightweight for a leather tote and comfortable for daily carry. It does not have metal feet. The Epi construction helps the base maintain structure, but overloading any tote can cause softening over time—use a lightweight base insert if you prefer extra support.

Q: Can I cinch the sides regularly, and will it affect the shape?
A: Yes—cinching the side laces is part of the design and gives a slimmer profile. To maintain the bag’s lines, avoid storing it tightly cinched for long periods; let it rest stuffed and uncinched in a breathable dust bag when not in use.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes located, and how is dating handled?
A: Authentic Louis Vuitton bags have an interior heat‑stamp (e.g., “LOUIS VUITTON Paris”) and a country‑of‑origin mark. Pieces produced before around 2021 typically include a date code on a small leather tab or along a seam; from around 2021 onwards, LV transitioned to an embedded microchip instead of a visible date code. Placement varies by era—contact us if you’d like close‑up photos for this piece.

Q: What accessories are included with this item and where is it made?
A: This specific bag includes a detachable zipped pouch (see Accessories). The country‑of‑origin label indicates France. Please review our photos and the Accessories section for the exact contents delivered with this bag.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, examining materials, stitching, hardware, heat‑stamps and the date code/microchip where applicable. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
