Q: What are the dimensions and strap drop of the Pochette Félicie?
A: The bag measures approximately 21 × 12 × 3 cm. The gold-tone chain has a cross-body drop of about 53–55 cm and is designed to be worn on the shoulder or cross-body, or removed to carry the bag as a clutch.

Q: Is the chain strap adjustable or removable?
A: The chain is removable but not adjustable. You can detach it to use the Félicie as a clutch or attach a different strap if you prefer a different look or drop length.

Q: What typically fits inside?
A: Daily essentials such as a large smartphone, slim card holder, keys, lipstick, and receipts will fit. Many owners report that Pro Max–sized iPhones fit; if your phone has a bulky case or both inserts are installed, removing one insert usually makes closure easier.

Q: Are the removable inserts included with this piece?
A: Yes. This item comes with both original inserts: a zipped pouch and a flat card holder, as listed under Accessories on this page.

Q: How many card slots does the Félicie card holder insert have?
A: The dedicated card holder insert typically features eight card slots on one side with a central slip opening for notes or receipts.

Q: What is the bag made from?
A: Monogram coated canvas with gold-tone hardware and a fabric lining. Coated canvas is a durable, wipe-clean material; it is not leather but is prized for its light weight and resilience.

Q: How should I care for Monogram coated canvas and the chain?
A: Wipe the canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a touch of mild soap if needed, then dry gently. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners, harsh chemicals, or abrasive sponges. Store lightly filled to maintain shape and keep the chain dry; buff hardware occasionally with a soft cloth.

Q: Can I swap the chain for another strap?
A: Yes. The Félicie’s D-rings accept many third‑party leather or chain straps with standard clasps, allowing you to customise drop length or comfort. Ensure any replacement strap is secure and does not scratch the hardware.

Q: What does the date code TJ1159 mean for this item?
A: TJ indicates production in France. Using the 2007–2021 format (letters + four digits), 1159 decodes to the 15th week of 2019. Please note that since around 2021 many newer LV items use embedded microchips rather than visible date codes.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this bag?
A: Every piece is examined by our in‑house specialists using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and date codes. We stand behind the authenticity of all items and are happy to share additional photos or details on request.
