Q: What is the Omega Lady‑Constellation 22.5mm (1998) Ref. 1466.36.00?
A: It’s a petite “My Choice” era Constellation from 1998 in stainless steel with a 22.5mm case, a diamond‑set bezel, and a refined jewellery‑style integrated bracelet. This specific piece features a mother‑of‑pearl dial with multi‑coloured gemstone hour markers and is powered by a precise quartz movement.

Q: Is it quartz or automatic, and what accuracy/battery life should I expect?
A: This model is quartz. Constellation minis of this generation typically use Omega’s Calibre 1456 two‑hand quartz movement. Quartz accuracy is generally within seconds per day, and the battery life is around 2–3 years under normal use.

Q: Is the watch water‑resistant and can I swim with it?
A: Period 22.5mm Constellations were originally rated to 30 metres. As this is a vintage 1998 watch, water resistance cannot be guaranteed without recent servicing and a pressure test. We recommend treating it as splash‑resistant only and avoiding swimming or showering. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any exposure to moisture.

Q: What type of crystal does it have?
A: It is fitted with a scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal with internal anti‑reflective treatment, offering excellent clarity and durability for daily wear.

Q: Will it fit my wrist and can the bracelet be resized?
A: This watch is currently sized to fit a wrist up to 16.25cm. The integrated steel bracelet is adjustable by adding or removing links. Extra links may be sourced subject to availability; please contact us with your wrist size for assistance.

Q: How do I set the time?
A: Gently pull the crown to its outer position, rotate the hands to the desired time, then push the crown back in until it clicks. As a quartz model, there’s no winding required. Avoid operating the crown in wet conditions.

Q: What maintenance does a quartz Constellation require?
A: Replace the battery roughly every 2–3 years and have the gaskets checked or replaced at the same time. A more comprehensive service is typically recommended every 6–10 years or sooner if you notice condensation, erratic timekeeping, or moisture ingress.

Q: Can I swap the bracelet for a leather strap?
A: The bracelet is integrated and does not use standard lugs, so strap changes are more limited than on conventional designs. Most owners keep the factory bracelet for the best fit and look; if you’d like alternative options, we’re happy to advise.

Q: What is included with this purchase and is it authentic?
A: This listing is “no accessories,” meaning no original box or papers are included. Every item from A Retro Tale is thoroughly inspected and guaranteed 100% authentic, and it is supplied with our 12‑month movement warranty.

Q: How can I confirm the year and reference of this watch?
A: The reference is 1466.36.00 and the serial number 59855465 corresponds to circa 1998 production based on Omega serial charts. We can provide additional verification details or photos upon request.
