Q: What are the measurements of this piece?
A: This Small Cahier measures approximately 14 × 20 × 6 cm with an adjustable shoulder strap listed as 50 cm on this page. Please refer to the Measurements section for the most accurate details for this exact item.

Q: What typically fits inside the Prada Cahier Small?
A: The Small size comfortably carries daily essentials such as a large smartphone, compact cardholder or small wallet, keys, lipstick and slim sunglasses. Due to its structured shape, it is not suited to bulkier items like a long continental wallet or a water bottle. Capacity depends on how you pack; see the Measurements above for guidance.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody as well as on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The Cahier comes with an adjustable, detachable leather strap so you can wear it as a shoulder bag or crossbody. The exact length and drop for this item are listed in the Measurements on this page.

Q: How secure is the closure and how is the interior laid out?
A: The bag has a flap closure with a decorative strap detail over a magnetic fastening. Inside, the structured interior is divided into two main compartments with small pockets to help organise essentials.

Q: Will a large smartphone fit (e.g. Pro/Max sizes)?
A: Most large smartphones fit horizontally thanks to the approx. 20 cm width. Very thick cases can make the fit snug, so comparing your phone’s measurements to the bag’s Measurements on this page is the best check.

Q: Is the leather durable and how should I care for it?
A: Many Cahier styles combine textured Saffiano (noted for its scratch resistance) with smooth City Calf (softer and more prone to fine marks). Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use, avoid overfilling, keep away from heat and moisture, and store in a breathable dust bag. For stubborn marks, consult a professional leather specialist.

Q: Do the metal corners and hardware scratch easily?
A: The decorative metal corners and antique-finish hardware can show fine surface scratches with normal wear. This is expected for the style and does not affect function. Minor marks can often be reduced with a gentle polish using a soft, dry cloth; deeper wear is best assessed by a professional.

Q: When was the Cahier introduced and what inspired its design?
A: The Cahier line debuted around 2016–2017 and takes its name from the French word for notebook. Its distinctive metal corners and strap details are inspired by the bindings of antique books, giving the bag its signature, collectible look.

Q: What is included with this specific item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information on this page. For this piece, a detachable shoulder strap is included.
