Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Damier Cabas Voyages Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 36.5 × 34 × 9 cm, it comfortably carries daily essentials: a large smartphone, full‑length wallet, keys, slim sunglasses in a soft case, a small cosmetics pouch, an A4 diary/folder and chargers. A slim 500 ml bottle fits best laid horizontally. Capacity can vary slightly by production year—refer to the Measurements on this page or ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Will it fit a laptop or tablet?
A: Yes—most 13‑inch laptops and standard tablets fit easily. Many slim 14–15‑inch laptops also fit due to the 36.5 cm width and 34 cm height, though the 9 cm depth and open‑top design mean bulky cases can be a squeeze. Compare your device’s dimensions with our Measurements or ask us to test the fit in this specific bag.

Q: Can I wear it on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: It’s designed for hand and shoulder carry via dual top handles (approx. 25 cm drop). It does not include a long strap and is not intended for crossbody wear. If you need hands‑free carry, we recommend pairing with a lightweight pouch for essentials inside your coat or a separate crossbody bag.

Q: How secure is the closure and what’s the interior like?
A: This piece has an open‑top main compartment for quick access, with a black textile lining and one internal zipped pocket to secure smaller valuables. For commuting or travel, we suggest keeping the bag upright and using a small zip pouch or organiser for added security and structure.

Q: What is Damier Graphite canvas and how durable is it?
A: Damier Graphite is Louis Vuitton’s coated canvas in a black/grey chequerboard, paired with black leather trim and silver‑tone hardware. Coated canvas is lightweight, hard‑wearing and water‑resistant for everyday use, while the leather trim adds structure and a refined finish.

Q: How should I care for the coated canvas, leather trim and hardware?
A: Wipe the canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or alcohol‑based cleaners. Keep away from excessive heat, oils and prolonged sunlight. If lightly wet, blot (don’t rub) and allow to air‑dry. Store upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, and pad the handles/hardware to minimise impressions. Although the darker palette is forgiving, avoid contact with abrasive surfaces and freshly dyed fabrics to prevent scuffs or colour transfer.

Q: Is the Cabas Voyage model still produced?
A: The Cabas Voyage is generally considered a discontinued style; availability today is mainly through the pre‑loved market. Details such as pocket layout and exact dimensions can vary slightly by year and material (e.g., Graphite, Cobalt, Infini).

Q: What does the code “DU4155” mean on this bag?
A: “DU” indicates French manufacture. In Louis Vuitton’s 2007–2021 format, the 1st and 3rd digits show the week (45) and the 2nd and 4th digits show the year (2015), so this piece was made around the 45th week of 2015. From March 2021 onward, many LV items use an embedded microchip instead of a visible date code, so pre‑2021 pieces like this one will typically have a code.

Q: Is the Damier Graphite Cabas Voyage unisex and good for work or travel?
A: Yes—the clean, neutral palette and tote silhouette are widely worn by all genders. The A4/laptop‑friendly format and durable coated canvas make it a smart choice for commuting and light travel. For flights, we recommend adding a zip pouch for passports and small valuables.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate?
A: This listing includes a dust bag; any other items would be listed under “Accessories.” If an accessory isn’t mentioned there, it isn’t included—feel free to ask us to confirm. Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps/date code and overall construction—we stand behind the authenticity of every piece we sell.
