Q: Are these Chanel Coco Mark clip-on earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from? Are they solid gold?
A: These are Chanel costume jewellery earrings crafted in gold‑tone metal with decorative black cabochon stones and a dangling CC charm. As fashion jewellery, they are not solid gold unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Q: How big are they and will they feel heavy?
A: Each earring is listed at approximately 4.5 cm (height) x 3 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (depth). They have a statement look with a drop CC charm. If you’d like the precise gram weight or an on‑ear photo for scale, just ask and we’ll provide it.

Q: Are clip‑on earrings comfortable and secure? Can the tension be adjusted?
A: Properly fitted clip‑ons are secure for most day‑to‑day wear. Comfort can be improved by adding clear silicone cushions and—on many clip styles—making tiny tension adjustments. Because these are vintage, we recommend any adjustments be performed gently or by a professional jeweller to protect the components.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive skin? Are they nickel‑free?
A: Vintage and fashion jewellery alloys may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, consider using barrier pads on the clips, keep the area dry, and discontinue wear if irritation occurs. For specific guidance, feel free to contact us.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone finish and stones?
A: Keep them dry and avoid contact with perfume, lotions, hairspray, hand sanitiser and cleaning chemicals. After wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and store separately in a pouch or box. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on vintage Chanel earrings?
A: Many vintage Chanel earrings have an oval or round plaque stamped CHANEL and often “Made in France,” with some eras showing season codes. Placement and format vary by period. Our listing photos show any stamps present on this pair.

Q: Can these clip‑ons be converted to pierced earrings?
A: Some clip‑on designs can be converted by a competent jeweller, but modifications may alter originality and affect resale value. We don’t offer in‑house alterations; contact us if you’d like recommendations for specialists.

Q: How should I style them?
A: The gold‑tone finish, black cabochons and dangling CC charm create a versatile day‑to‑evening statement. Wear with swept‑up hair or a sleek bob to showcase the drop, and pair with a little black dress or tailored looks for polished impact.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return them?
A: These earrings are in Very Good Condition with light signs of careful wear possible unless noted otherwise. This listing includes no accessories unless specifically shown or stated. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
