Q: What is the chain length and how will it fit?
A: The necklace measures 38 cm (approximately 15 inches), which typically sits as a short necklace or choker at the base of the neck for many wearers. For the best fit, measure your neck and allow 1–2 cm of ease.

Q: Is the pendant removable from the chain?
A: On most Tiffany fine‑link motif chains like this, the pendant is fixed and not designed to slide off. Please review the product photos; if the bail is closed, it is non‑removable. Contact us if you would like us to double‑check this specific piece for you.

Q: What metal is it made from and what hallmarks should I expect?
A: This piece is crafted in solid 18ct yellow gold. Authentic Tiffany jewellery typically carries the Tiffany & Co. maker’s mark and a “750” fineness stamp for 18ct gold; placement is commonly near the clasp or on the back of the pendant. Hallmark style and position can vary by production run.

Q: What type of clasp does it use and is it secure?
A: It features a spring ring closure. To fasten, pull back the small lever, attach to the jump ring, then release to lock. Ensure the clasp is fully closed before wear and periodically check it for proper tension.

Q: Can I wear 18ct gold jewellery like this in the shower or when swimming?
A: Tiffany advises removing jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, or applying lotions and perfumes. This helps preserve the gold’s shine and prevents residue or chemical exposure.

Q: How should I clean and care for this necklace at home?
A: Use a mild soap bath in lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry with a soft, lint‑free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, toothpaste, baking soda, and exposure to chlorine. Store it separately in a soft pouch to minimise scratches.

Q: Is the length adjustable?
A: The chain is 38 cm and no additional adjustment loops are noted. If you prefer extra length, a professional jeweller can add an 18ct gold extender; please note any alterations should be considered carefully before purchase.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. Unless specified there, this piece is sold without additional items such as a box or pouch.

Q: What is the condition of this necklace?
A: It is pre‑owned in Very Good Condition, with the gold remaining bright and only light surface scratches consistent with careful wear. A professional polish can further minimise hairlines if desired.

Q: How do you authenticate this Tiffany & Co. piece?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously examined by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, craftsmanship, hallmarks and construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items and can provide additional images or details on request.
