Q: What fits inside this Céline Macadam Cosmetic Pouch?
A: With approximate measurements of 15 × 8 × 8 cm, it comfortably holds daily essentials such as lipsticks, a compact, mascara, travel‑sized skincare (up to 100 ml where required), cotton buds, and small cables. Capacity varies by how you pack—use slim bottles and pouches to maximise space.

Q: Can I use it as a clutch for evenings out?
A: Yes. Many people style cosmetic pouches as minimalist clutches for keys, a small phone, cards, and a lipstick. This piece has a top zip and no strap or card slots, so it is designed to be handheld or tucked under the arm.

Q: Is the Macadam canvas water‑resistant?
A: The Macadam material is coated canvas, which is light and water‑resistant, making it practical for everyday use. It is not fully waterproof and the leather trim is sensitive to moisture, so wipe off rain promptly and avoid soaking.

Q: How should I clean the exterior safely?
A: Wipe the coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp microfibre cloth; add a drop of mild soap if needed, then dry with a clean cloth. Avoid alcohol‑based products, bleach, acetone, or abrasive scrubs on the canvas. Keep conditioners to the leather trim only, and store stuffed in a breathable bag away from direct heat and sunlight.

Q: How do I deal with makeup spills inside the lining?
A: For the fabric lining, lift loose residue first, then spot‑clean with lukewarm water and a tiny amount of mild soap. Blot—do not rub—and allow to air‑dry fully with the zip open. For oil‑based marks, test a small amount of gentle makeup remover on a hidden area first. If the lining feels tacky or degraded, consult a handbag care specialist.

Q: Can I use this as my airport liquids bag?
A: This pouch is not transparent, so it may not meet liquids‑through‑security requirements. Many airports still enforce limits of up to 100 ml per container in a clear 1‑litre bag, though some UK airports now operate updated rules with new scanners. Always follow your departure airport’s latest guidance and use a clear bag where required.

Q: Does this pouch have a date code, and where might it be?
A: Many vintage Céline pieces feature a date code stamped on the lining or on a small internal leather tab; placement varies by style and year. On small pouches, codes can be subtle or absent. Date codes indicate time and place of manufacture but are not unique serial numbers.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: As listed, no accessories are included—the pouch is sold as shown. Everything included is always detailed under Accessories on the product page.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and date codes. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: Where was this piece made?
A: The origin stamp indicates Italy.
