Q: What is the length of this necklace and where will it sit when worn?
A: The necklace perimeter is approximately 112 cm, which places it in a long necklace length. On most wearers, it will fall well below the chest when worn as a single strand. Depending on your neck circumference and preferred styling, a length like this can often also be worn doubled for a shorter layered look.

Q: Can this necklace be adjusted?
A: The product information lists the necklace perimeter as 112 cm, but it does not mention an adjustable length feature. It is best to expect it to wear at its stated length unless otherwise shown in the images.

Q: What colour hardware does this piece have?
A: This necklace is listed in silver colour. The hardware condition is described as shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with gentle vintage wear.

Q: What condition is the necklace in?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good Condition, with light traces of use. As a vintage item, minor surface wear is normal and part of the character of the piece, so we recommend reviewing the photographs closely as well.

Q: Does this item come with a box, dust bag or authenticity card?
A: This item is delivered with no accessories. Everything included with the necklace is stated in the product information, so if an extra item is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: Is this a good necklace for layering or statement styling?
A: Yes. A 112 cm necklace is especially versatile and can be worn as one long strand for an elegant statement or styled with other pieces for a layered look. Long pearl-style necklaces are often chosen because they work well with dresses, knitwear, blouses and evening outfits alike.

Q: How should I care for a vintage CHANEL necklace with pearl-style details?
A: Handle it gently and avoid contact with water, perfume, hairspray, lotions and excessive heat. Put jewellery on last when getting dressed, wipe it carefully with a soft dry cloth after wear, and store it separately so the finish and decorative details are protected from rubbing and scratching.

Q: Will vintage CHANEL fashion jewellery show wear over time?
A: Yes. With vintage fashion jewellery, light scratches and signs of age can develop over time, especially on metal surfaces and decorative elements. This piece is already described as having light traces of use, so gentle wear and careful storage will help preserve its appearance.

Q: How do you authenticate vintage CHANEL jewellery?
A: At A Retro Tale, all items are vetted by in-house experts before sale. Authentication of vintage CHANEL jewellery typically involves checking construction quality, finish, stamps or plaques, design details and overall consistency with known period pieces.
