Q: Will this bracelet fit my wrist?
A: It is best suited for wrists up to about 17 cm in circumference. To check, wrap a soft tape around your wrist just below the wrist bone, snug but not tight. If your measurement is close to 17 cm and you prefer a looser drape, consider using a small extender after purchase. Approximate bracelet width is 2.2 cm and thickness is 0.6 cm.

Q: Is this solid gold or gold‑plated?
A: This is gold‑tone costume jewellery, typically a plated finish over a base metal rather than solid gold. Dior’s fine jewellery uses precious metals with purity hallmarks, whereas vintage fashion pieces like this are usually plated for their rich gold colour and sheen.

Q: How can I tell if a vintage Dior bracelet is authentic?
A: Vintage Dior pieces often feature a signature plaque or stamp such as Christian Dior, Chr. Dior, or CD. Some may include maker marks like Germany or Grosse (Henkel & Grosse), and certain decades include date stamps. Quality indicators include clean finishing, even plating, and secure charm/chain construction. At A Retro Tale, every item is rigorously authenticated by our specialists before listing.

Q: Can the length be adjusted?
A: The toggle‑clasp chain has a fixed length, so it is not adjustable by default. A professional jeweller can add a small extender or remove links to fine‑tune the fit. Any alteration may affect originality and resale value, so we do not modify pieces prior to shipping.

Q: Is the toggle clasp secure?
A: Toggle clasps are designed to be secure when the bar is fully inserted through the ring and rests perpendicular to it. Ensure the bracelet isn’t overly loose for your wrist, and check that the bar passes completely through the ring before wear. As with all jewellery, avoid vigorous activity that could snag the chain.

Q: Are the coin charms removable?
A: On this vintage design, the coin charms are attached to the chain with fixed rings and are not intended to be removed. A jeweller could detach or reposition charms, but this would count as a modification to the original piece.

Q: How should I care for gold‑tone vintage jewellery?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Keep away from water, lotions, perfumes, and household cleaners. If needed, use a mild soap solution on a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly—avoid soaking and avoid abrasive polishes, which can strip plating. Store separately in a soft pouch in a cool, dry place.

Q: Will the gold‑tone finish wear over time?
A: Light surface wear is normal for plated vintage pieces, especially on high‑friction areas. Minimising contact with moisture and chemicals, avoiding stacking against abrasive items, and storing carefully will help preserve the finish.

Q: Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
A: Vintage costume alloys can include mixed metals, and we cannot guarantee the bracelet is nickel‑free. If you have a known sensitivity, consider limiting wear time, creating a barrier on contact points, or using a fabric sleeve under the bracelet. Discontinue wear if irritation occurs.

Q: Are any accessories included?
A: This item is sold as shown with no accessories. Any inclusions such as a box or authenticity card would be listed in the Accessories section; if it’s not listed, it isn’t included.
