Q: Are these suitable for non‑pierced ears?
A: Yes. They feature a secure clip‑on fastening, so no piercings are required.

Q: How comfortable are clip‑on earrings and how can I improve comfort for longer wear?
A: Comfort depends on clip tension and earlobe shape. Simple tweaks help: add silicone cushion pads to the clips, avoid wearing them continuously for many hours, and ask a jeweller to fine‑tune clip tension if needed. These tips reduce pressure while keeping a secure hold.

Q: Can clip‑on earrings be converted to pierced?
A: A skilled jeweller can sometimes convert clip‑ons by adding posts, but permanent alterations may affect structural integrity, plating, and the piece’s vintage collectability. If you decide to proceed, consult a specialist in vintage costume jewellery and note that careful, reversible solutions are preferable where possible.

Q: How should I clean and care for the multicolour rhinestones?
A: Keep them dry and gentle. Wipe with a soft, lint‑free cloth after wear. Avoid soaking, ultrasonic cleaners, or harsh chemicals. For light build‑up, use a barely damp cotton bud and hold the earrings face‑down so moisture cannot seep behind the stones. Apply perfume, hairspray, and lotions before putting the earrings on, and store them separately in a soft pouch.

Q: Why avoid soaking rhinestone jewellery?
A: Many vintage rhinestones are foil‑backed to enhance sparkle; moisture trapped behind the stones can lift or discolour the foil and dull the appearance. Spot‑clean only and dry thoroughly.

Q: I have sensitive ears or a nickel allergy—can I wear these?
A: These are gold‑toned costume jewellery, and the base metal composition is unknown. If you are sensitive to nickel or base metals, consider using silicone pads/barriers to minimise skin contact and monitor for any reaction. Discontinue wear if irritation occurs and seek medical advice if needed.

Q: Do these come with a Dior box or extras?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information on this page. For this pair, no extras are listed, so the purchase includes the earrings only.

Q: Where were these made, and is German‑made Dior jewellery authentic?
A: The country of origin is Germany. Many authenticated vintage Christian Dior costume jewellery pieces were produced under licence by the German manufacturer Henkel & Grossé, so a German origin is consistent with genuine vintage Dior.

Q: What are the measurements and how do they wear on the ear?
A: Approx. 3 × 3 × 1.5 cm. They present as mid‑sized statement clips with multicolour sparkle. For best comfort, position the clip so it grips the fleshiest part of the lobe and add silicone pads if needed.

Q: What if a rhinestone comes loose or is missing in future?
A: Spare stones are not supplied, but an experienced jeweller specialising in vintage costume jewellery can usually secure a loose stone or replace a missing one with a close colour match. Store the earrings carefully and avoid knocks to minimise the risk of loosening over time.
