Q: What exactly are Dior Tribales earrings and how do these wear on the ear?
A: Tribales are Dior’s signature front‑and‑back earrings: a smaller pearl sits at the front of the lobe while a larger decorative back sits behind the lobe for a modern, asymmetric look. This pair features aged gold‑tone metal, white resin pearls and a dangling J'ADIOR logo with crystal embellishments for added sparkle.

Q: Are the pearls real on this style?
A: No—Dior’s Tribales typically use white resin pearls. They deliver a lustrous, lightweight effect while remaining more durable than natural pearls for day‑to‑day wear.

Q: Is the metal solid gold, and will it tarnish?
A: The metal is a gold‑finish (aged gold‑tone) fashion‑jewellery plating over base metal, not solid gold. As with most plated jewellery, finish can wear over time if exposed to moisture, perfumes, lotions or abrasion; proper care will help preserve the look.

Q: How do I fasten them correctly?
A: Insert the post from the small front pearl through your pierced ear, then secure it with the larger rear pearl element, which integrates the clasp. Ensure the J'ADIOR charm faces outward and sits comfortably behind the lobe.

Q: Can I mix and match the fronts and backs with other Dior Tribales pieces?
A: Many Tribales fronts and backs are designed to be mixed within the Tribales line, allowing you to create different looks. Compatibility can vary by style, so we recommend mixing within Dior Tribales components for the best fit and balance.

Q: Are they hypoallergenic or nickel‑free?
A: Dior does not market its fashion jewellery as hypoallergenic, and material specifics beyond the finish are not guaranteed. If you have a known nickel sensitivity, consider limiting wear time, and consult medical guidance on safe materials for your skin. Patch‑testing or trying them briefly first is advisable.

Q: How should I care for resin‑pearl, gold‑finish costume jewellery?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear; avoid water, perfumes, hairspray and lotions; do not use chemical cleaners or ultrasonic devices; and store separately in a box or pouch to prevent scratches and premature wear.

Q: Are these clip‑on or for pierced ears?
A: This pair is for pierced ears with a push‑back/integrated rear clasp. Dior also produces select Tribales designs as clip‑ons, but this listing is the pierced‑ear version.

Q: What is included and what is the condition of this pre‑owned pair?
A: Accessories include the box, as listed. Condition is Very Good with light trace of use. All items at A Retro Tale are thoroughly authenticated by our in‑house experts before listing.

Q: Can I wear the small front pearl as a simple stud with a different back?
A: The design is engineered to be worn with its original rear pearl/clasp for the correct fit, balance and security. Using non‑original backs is not recommended and may not hold the earring securely.
