Q: What exactly is the Hermès Cargo Keyring?
A: It is a silver‑tone Hermès keyring featuring an anchor‑shaped charm with an integrated H motif, often described by resellers as the “Cargo” key ring. It can be used for keys or styled as a small charm on a bag. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: What are the measurements of this piece?
A: Approx. 7 cm in height and 3 cm in width for the charm, as listed on this page. If you carry especially bulky keys or fobs, compare these measurements to your set to ensure a comfortable fit.

Q: What material and finish does it have?
A: The piece is crafted in a silver‑tone palladium‑finish metal, a bright, durable finish widely used by Hermès for small metal goods and key rings. Fine surface scratches may appear with regular use—this is normal for polished finishes.

Q: Can I use it as a bag charm on a Birkin, Kelly or other bags?
A: Yes. Many clients clip Hermès key rings to a handle base, interior ring, or leather loop. To minimise micro‑scratches, avoid prolonged metal‑on‑metal contact with bag hardware and remove the charm during heavy use or travel.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The original box is included. Everything that comes with the piece is listed under the product information on this page. If you need confirmation, feel free to contact us.

Q: How should I care for and clean the metal?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, clean, dry cloth after use. Keep away from perfumes, lotions, chlorinated or salt water, and store it separately in its box when not in use. For professional polishing or refurbishment, Hermès boutiques offer maintenance and repair services.

Q: Will the finish tarnish or scratch over time?
A: Palladium‑finish metal resists tarnish well but can show hairline scratches with normal wear. Routine gentle wiping helps maintain shine; deeper polishing or refurbishment can be handled by Hermès care services if desired.

Q: Is the design unisex?
A: Yes. Hermès key rings are designed to be timeless and can be enjoyed by any wearer.

Q: Where was this piece made?
A: Country of origin is Switzerland, as indicated in the product information on this page.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, hardware and stamps. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional details upon request.
