Q: What typically fits inside the Monogram Denim Flat Shopper?
A: With approximate dimensions of 37 × 33 × 1 cm, it comfortably fits A4 documents, magazines, a tablet and a slim 13-inch laptop in a protective sleeve. Because the tote is flat and unstructured, it’s best suited to slim items rather than bulky objects. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Is this model still in production?
A: This Flat Shopper is part of Louis Vuitton’s mid-2000s Monogram Denim line, introduced during Marc Jacobs’ tenure. The style is discontinued and now found on the pre-owned market.

Q: Does it have a shoulder strap?
A: No. The Flat Shopper is designed for hand carry with dual rolled leather handles and does not include a shoulder strap or strap fittings.

Q: How is the bag organised?
A: The bag has an open main compartment with one interior pocket. Externally, it features a front flap pocket with an LV push-lock and an additional front zip pocket for quick-access essentials.

Q: What materials is it made from?
A: It is crafted from monogrammed denim textile with natural Vachetta leather trim and gold-tone hardware, with a soft microfibre lining. The combination makes it lightweight yet sturdy for daily use.

Q: How should I care for the denim and Vachetta leather?
A: Keep the bag dry and away from oils, perfumes and harsh cleaners. Wipe gently with a soft cloth, avoid prolonged sunlight, and store it loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag. Natural Vachetta will develop a honey patina over time; moisture can mark it, so avoid rain where possible.

Q: Will the denim or leather cause or pick up colour transfer?
A: As with most luxury textiles and light leathers, colour transfer can occur with friction and humidity—dark denim may rub onto the leather, and the bag’s blue denim may mark very light garments. To minimise this, avoid prolonged rubbing against contrasting colours and be mindful when wearing brand-new denim.

Q: Where would I find the date code, and does it prove authenticity?
A: Many Louis Vuitton bags made before 2021 include a date code. On styles with microfibre (Alcantara) linings, the code is often stamped directly on the lining near a seam or pocket. Date codes indicate when and where an item was made but are not proof of authenticity on their own; our in-house team performs a full multi-point authentication for every item.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This piece includes a luggage tag. Everything included is listed under the product information on this page; if an item such as a dust bag or lock isn’t listed there, it is not included.
