Q: How is Bottega Veneta belt size 85 measured, and what waist will it fit?
A: European designer belt sizes are measured from the buckle prong to the middle hole. A size 85 is 85 cm to the centre hole (about 33.5 inches). With the usual five holes spaced roughly 2.5 cm apart, the wearable range is approximately 80–90 cm. The easiest way to confirm is to measure from the prong to the hole you use on a belt that already fits you.

Q: What is the width of this belt, and will it fit standard belt loops?
A: This belt is approximately 3 cm wide. It will fit most trouser loops and will thread through the majority of denim loops; it will look slightly sleeker than the classic 3.8 cm “jeans” width. If in doubt, measure the belt loops on your garment to ensure they are at least 3 cm high.

Q: Can I add an extra hole to this Intrecciato belt if needed?
A: It’s best to have any extra hole added by a professional so the spacing remains even and the leather tip is finished cleanly. Avoid punching through the woven Intrecciato section; adjustments should be made on the solid leather tip only. Standard spacing is typically about 2.5 cm between holes for a symmetrical look and comfortable adjustment.

Q: Can this belt be shortened?
A: In many cases, a skilled cobbler can shorten a belt from the buckle end and reattach the hardware for a factory‑clean finish. Because this is a woven Intrecciato design, we recommend a professional assessment before altering to preserve the integrity of the weave and the original proportions.

Q: How should I care for metallic Intrecciato leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid liquids, creams, oils, perfumes, and abrasive surfaces. Store flat or hung to avoid sharp creases, away from direct heat and sunlight. Metallic finishes can develop a subtle patina with wear; this is normal. Minimise friction against dark denim or heavily dyed fabrics to reduce colour transfer.

Q: What is the buckle and hardware finish on this piece?
A: The hardware is gunmetal‑tone. It pairs well with silver or graphite jewellery and complements monochrome, navy, and dark neutral outfits.

Q: Is this belt unisex?
A: Yes. Belts are essentially size‑based. Choose according to your waist measurement and preferred width; the styling works across wardrobes regardless of gender.

Q: What exactly is included with the item?
A: Everything that comes with the piece is listed under product information on this page. If an item (such as a dust bag or box) is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What does “Very Good condition” mean for this item?
A: It indicates light traces of use with no major flaws. For this belt the leather shows minor, normal wear consistent with careful use and the hardware remains shiny. Please review all photos and measurements for the best view of its condition.

Q: Where was it made?
A: Italy. The country of origin is indicated in the product information.
