Q: What size is this Chanel belt?
A: This belt is listed as size 80. For vintage belts, the best fit depends on where you plan to wear it, such as at the natural waist or lower on the hips, so we recommend comparing size 80 with a belt you already own and checking the measurements on this page where available.

Q: Is this a waist belt or can it also be worn on the hips?
A: A Chanel chain belt like this can often be styled either at the waist or on the hips, depending on your proportions and outfit. As this piece is size 80, it will suit the wearer best when matched carefully to the intended styling position.

Q: What colour is this piece?
A: This item is gold in tone, giving it a classic vintage Chanel look that works beautifully with dresses, tailoring, denim, and knitwear.

Q: What condition is the belt in?
A: It is listed in very good condition. The overall condition notes mention light traces of use, and the hardware is described as shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with a well-kept vintage piece.

Q: Does this item come with anything included?
A: Yes, this item comes with a box. Please refer to the product information on this page for what is included with your purchase.

Q: How should I style a Chanel chain belt like this?
A: This style works especially well over a black dress, a blazer, a knit dress, or high-waisted trousers. It can also be used to add definition to looser silhouettes and bring a polished vintage finish to simple outfits.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel chain belt?
A: We recommend storing it in a dry place, ideally in its box or a soft pouch, and keeping it away from moisture, perfume, lotions, and rough surfaces. After wear, gently wipe it with a soft dry cloth to help preserve the finish.

Q: Is light scratching on the hardware normal for a vintage Chanel belt?
A: Yes, light surface scratches are common on vintage metal hardware and are part of normal wear over time. On this piece, the hardware remains shiny, so the overall presentation is still very attractive.

Q: Is a serial number included for this item?
A: No serial number is listed in the product information for this piece. If you would like more detail about markings or construction, our team can usually provide additional guidance on request.

Q: How do you authenticate vintage Chanel items?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is carefully checked for authenticity by specialists who assess details such as materials, craftsmanship, hardware, branding, and overall construction before it is offered for sale.
