Q: What wrist size does this bracelet fit?
A: The inner perimeter is approximately 16 cm. For chain bracelets, a comfortable fit is usually your snug wrist measurement plus 1–2 cm. This length typically suits wrists around 14–15.5 cm for a close fit, and up to about 16 cm for a snug fit. If you like a looser drape, consider a longer length.

Q: Is the metal solid silver?
A: No. Chanel’s silver‑tone costume jewellery is generally crafted from high‑quality base metal with a silver‑tone or rhodium finish rather than solid sterling silver. This achieves the bright colour while keeping the piece durable and lightweight.

Q: Will the silver‑tone finish tarnish or fade over time?
A: Plated finishes can dull or wear with frequent exposure to moisture, sweat, cosmetics and fragrance. Minimise contact with water and chemicals, wipe after wear with a soft cloth, and store it dry to help preserve the finish.

Q: How do I open and close the CC turn‑lock safely?
A: Align the post with the opening, rotate the CC a quarter‑turn to release, and to secure, insert the post and turn the CC back until it sits horizontally and feels locked. Avoid forcing the mechanism; if it resists, check alignment and try again gently.

Q: Can the size be adjusted?
A: Because the CC turn‑lock is integrated into a fixed curb‑chain, adjustments are limited. A professional jeweller may remove a link or add a discreet extender ring, but altering the original construction can affect collectability. If you need specific advice, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Q: What does “Coco Mark” mean on Chanel jewellery?
A: “Coco Mark” is a widely used term (especially in Japan) for Chanel’s iconic interlocking CC logo motif. On this design, the CC also forms the functional turn‑lock closure.

Q: How do you authenticate this bracelet?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in‑house experts. For vintage Chanel we examine construction, weight, plating, and signature markings. Many late‑1980s onwards pieces feature an oval CHANEL stamp with country of origin and a season code; stamp styles vary by era. We can share close‑up images and details on request.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under product information on this page. If a branded box, pouch or card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How should I care for and clean it?
A: After each wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry, lint‑free cloth. Avoid water, perfume, lotions, chemical dips, ultrasonic cleaners and abrasive cloths. Store separately in a breathable pouch, away from humidity and direct sunlight. For deeper refresh, use only a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly straight away.

Q: Is it suitable for daily wear?
A: Yes, with care. To preserve the plating, remove before showering, swimming, exercising or handwashing, and put it on after your skincare and fragrance have fully dried.
